Sky was ethereal in Zayn's eyes. She shined like no tomorrow, like there was a million tiny holes pierced into the surface of her skin that bled golden sunshine, melted Zayn's heart with just one glance, made him feel ways that were far too difficult to explain, and on top of that she was beautiful. All around she was a sight to see, a voice to keep in your head and replay over and over again like a song on the radio, a being that once you got a taste of her you never wanted to be without it, never wanted to let her go or it would break your heart.
Sky could be a heartbreaker. If anything were to ever happen between the two of them, God forbid, that caused them to slip out of each other's grasps, Zayn would definitely find out what it'd feel like to live and to carry on with a broken heart. It was scary to think about, how deeply infatuated he was with a girl, a love so strong and intense and unlike he'd ever experienced before that if he were to ever be without it, he was sure he wouldn't have a single clue what to do. He'd be lost without Sky; he'd be a broken man that wouldn't have the strength to pick himself back up again until she was back and safe in his arms.
But that wasn't the case at all and for that Zayn was glad. It got his heart beating triple time in his chest just thinking about it, and what a funny feeling that was. But they were okay, thank god. He had Sky, Sky had him, and he didn't think anything mattered in the world but that. Now that—that was a good thing. Fantastic.
A quick flash illuminated the already bright area, causing Zayn to blink in response to the sudden light, his eyes squeezing shut for a second before they were opening up again. Spots of colors and splotches of black tainted his irises for a few seconds before his eyes fully adjusted and they were back to normal again. Sky chuckled from where she was perched right above Zayn's lap, straddling his waist, knees placed on either side of his body. Her cheeks were pink and tinted with joy that only made Zayn feel crazier than he was just a second ago. He didn't mind being crazy, though. If it was because of Sky, he didn't mind at all.
"Here," she smiled as she plucked the ready and waiting polaroid from the top of her camera. It brought back good memories, that thing. Memories Zayn would always cherish till the end of time.
"Didn't realize there was a photo shoot going on, boss," Zayn smirked, taking the picture from between her slim fingers. "I would've came more prepared."
"Oh, you're prepared, alright. You're gorgeous enough as it is on your own, not much preparation needed, stud."
But Zayn thought she was wrong—here he had, a beauty sitting right before him that he could call his own. Now whether or not she knew that was a different story.
"Well, I think you're not so bad yourself either." Zayn grinned, sitting up straighter until he was pressed more against the headboard behind his back. And he tossed the photo Sky had taken of him onto the dresser beside the bed they laid in before slipping his arms around his girlfriend's tiny torso and holding her tight, tight, tight. He nuzzled the edge of her jaw with the tip of his nose, breathing her in like she was his favorite smell all the while. He could hear her breathing become more calculated, concentrated, as Zayn put all of his focus on the girl he loved most.
He left tiny little kisses upon the skin that covered her neck, so soft and gentle and making her squirm and giggle without so much effort even being put in. Her fingers carded through his black hair unknowingly, tugging at the strands firmly once his tongue darted out to taste her skin.
Oh god, Zayn was already feeling heavy and warm after so little touches were exchanged between the two. And Zayn wanted Sky, and Sky wanted him, and that was all that was important in their eyes. Zayn was hungry for Sky, ready and waiting and eager to cut a slice of her heaven just to have all to himself.
