Chapter 6 :School trip

3rd person PoV 2 months later Jack and Mark- 10

The two boys ran into their homes both shouting for their mothers . Mark was at his house jumping around happily ." Mom! Mom! Can I go on a trip! Mom!" He ran to his mothers study. She was sat around piles of papers . " what honey?"
" can I go on this trip to the theme park!"
" aren't you scared ?"
" no! I'm going cause secretly ," he looked around and whispered "Jack is scared " he smiled at his mother " I thought it'd be the other way round but hi-Ho" Mark scowled at the comment .

Jack was shouting , arguing with his sister ." I ain't! I ain't scared Danny! "
" you are! Yeah you are! Ma don't let him go on the trip ma!"
" if he want's ta  go he can go ." Jack stuck his  tongue out at his sister who grappled it " you won't have this in a minuet !" She let go , wiping her hand on her leg as she walked away . Jack scrunched up his face . " yes you can go Jack." Darcey , now at around the age of 18 . " ma, I'm going out quick do ya  need anything ?"
" can you pick up some bread, sugar the essentials . "
She nodded " Darcey can you take me to marks house ?"
" fine, come on let's go."
Jack quickly walked to his sister .

Marks PoV

The pain that was shooting through my face was unreal. I fell onto my butt as Tom panted " why did you tell Sean !" He shouted at me

Blood and snot not helping my look . I but a plaster or four on my nose and just played some video games . Alone . My door was tapped on." Mark?" A familiar Irish voice called "what?" He walked in . Smiling " heyyyyy buddy . I heard what happened . How's your nose ? How in the hell did you run into a tree ?"
" I didn't ." I grunted
" that's what your ma told me "
" I lied to her"
" okay... Wh-"
"Tom punched me "
" what!? Where is he !? I'm gonna show him !" He started to head out the door but I grabbed him . " leave it ! I'm only lying c-cause of dad ..." I made my voice as firm as I could . "what?"
" w-when my mom is  out ... He beats me .he drinks . And when he's drunk . He - he... He beats me . Never Tom . Me!" I shook off the tear the tried to fall " o-oh .would you... Would you like to stay at my house ? For a while ?" He smiled widely at me. He stepped out my room . Walking to my moms study

Jacks PoV

" hey ..mom?"
" hello Sean ,what's up?"
" well Mark is ... Uncomfortable around Ralph and Tom ... Is it okay if he stays at mine for a djgksheiwhile ... Until he calms down about the situation ?"
" oh... That's perfectly fine . I'll pack his bags ." She smiled and put her pen down " thanks mom " I left the room and went into Mark who was now getting on a jacket . " you ready?" He asked " yeah , mom is packing yer bag and we will be goin'" I smiled at him . He  got to the front door to see Tom and his dad ." Where are you going ? " Ralph asked
"To stay at jacks."
" your not ." Tom said
" mom said I could and ma "
" who the fuck is ma ?"
" jacks mom "
" call her by her real name ."
" no ." His bag was in the car, as was mom ." I will be leaving now ." I followed him as the door was slammed shut by Mark . " I hate them ."

The day of the trip

We got onto the first roller coaster . The ones were allowed on are huge !"this looks awesome !" Mark said " uh.... Yeah "
I began to shake in my seat . Marks arm readied on my shoulder " you'll be fine ! And anyways , we came so we can get you to like roller coasters "
I sighed and waited for the ride to move . It shot off well, it felt it .

The end of the trip . On the coach

Marks PoV.

We strapped our selves in , the teacher doing a head count ." That was awesome , no?" I asked Sean he smiled and nodded
"I can't wait to get home . Darcey has brought some films an she said me you an Danny can watch em ! She will buy us snacks as well" I nodded . He closed his eyes and began to drift off into a sleep .

The next day

" Mark !" Danny shouted across the lawn "what!?"
" can ya throw me the ball!?" I nodded. I haven't got a great throw but it'll be worth it. Danny is a year older than me  And Jack. She is funny and acts like a boy . I threw the ball as good as I could . Danny instantly caught it and cheered .
