Chapter 14: normal

Jacks pov

I bounced my foot rapidly waiting for the bell to go . Mark isn't in my class and I just had to see him before my brains are bored out . I looked around the class at each person and then the teacher stopped mid sentence " right we've not a lot of time now so pack away " I literally flung my books into the box and stuffed everything in my bag and as I finished the bell went causing me to speed out . I stopped halfway up the hall and panted looking left and right . I just walked towards my locker instead . As I strolled along I bumped into someone causing me to fall " by Jesus ... what th-" I rubbed my lower back looking up and I paused " I'm so sorry ! " it was a boy , he was pretty tall , scruffy blonde hair and blue eyes alike mine . He smiled and pulled me up " thanks"
" no problem " he said and carried on walking , he then stopped and turned " do you know where I can find the canteen ?"
" uh yeah . It's this way , I was going there anyways " I was pretty straight forward except I was so ... anxious?
" sorry if I hurt you , I was trying to find my way round In a rush"
" no no it's fine I shouldn't have had my head in the clouds "
We walked in silence for a moment
Until he piped up " sorry , my names Felix - I was being pretty rude "
"Oh . I should've told you mine . I'm jack" we shook hands and carried on walking . I came pretty much up to his ear , he looked down at me for a moment and looked ahead . " there it is see , uh do you have your lunch card ?"
" no I'm new , they said to find a friend or just tell them my name and they'll sort me out "
" oh , here , I wasn't planning on eating anyways " I pulled my lunch card out and handed it to him " you sure ?" He took it wearily
" yeah I have a sandwich anyways, I'll get in line with you though "he smiled and followed me to the line .

I took a seat whilst Felix pulled his sandwich out the pack and sat down . We sat in an awkward silence then mark burst into the silence. " UGH . Do you know those popular bitches ? They were throwing shit in my hair and at me and when I shouted at them I got in trouble ! I have a detention after school ! " I smirked and he looked at Felix " who are you ?" He asked pointing " rude " Felix retorted " he is Felix - the new kid . I just bumped into him and invited him over . " oh " mark scowled and seemingly disappeared outside . I sighed and Felix looked at me "ignore him , he's being pathetic " I didn't reply . I looked at him but instantly dragged my glimpse away . I can't cope .
