Sara was just eight when her Aunt Emma came to visit her. She had been living with the husband in Africa for the past four years. She stayed for about three weeks and while leaving, she gifted Sara a strange looking African doll. It was not cute at all. It had a sly grin on its face.
Nevertheless, Sara accepted the gift and put it away in the cupboard with the rest of her toys.
At night, Sara brushed her teeth and went to bed. She read her story book for a while and then being sleepy, she turned off the light.
Thud!! The sound brought Sara out from her dreamland. She switched on the lamp which was by her bed. She looked at the clock and it was past midnight.
She looked around, and much to her surprise, she saw the African doll lying on the ground. Now, hadn't she put it inside her cupboard?
She turned off the light and went back to sleep. The next day, as usual, she dressed and went of to school. When she returned home, she found her mother in a foul mood.
"How many times have I told you not to leave your room in a mess! Go and clean it up now itself. I'm not going to tidy up that mess." Sara ran upstairs and was horrified to see the condition of the room. The clothes were lying everywhere on the ground. The toys were all over the floor and the pillows and the bed sheets were messed up. She was sure she hadn't left it that way. But anyway, she tidied the mess.
That night, a noise woke up Sara again. This time she did not turn the light on.
Tip...tap...tipTo her utter surprise, she saw the African doll walking in her room! The doll jumped next to her,in the bed.
Terrified, Sara pulled the blanket over her head. She tried to scream but her voice wouldn't come out. The doll let out a strange high-pitched laugh which scared Sara to death.
Then, it started throwing things all around. It seemed rather strange for a small doll - as it kept throwing chairs, tables, lamps and books everywhere.
Hearing the noise, her parents came running up. As soon as the entered the room, the noise stopped.
"Look John, I told you...." said her mother to her father, "look how naughty she has become...throwing all those things around!" She was boiling with rage.
"But Mummy, it wasn't me!" wept Sara. "It was that weird doll!...I swear!" "Now you have started telling lies too," snapped her mother. "Clean up the mess right away!"
Sara was really very scared. No one believed her. So she threw the doll outside from her window. But the next day, the doll was right back in the cupboard. The doll continued to throw things around, messed her mother's kitchen, and threw her father's files out of the window.
Sara's parents decided to send her to a boarding school. She was terribly hurt that her parents didn't believe her but happy that at least she could be away from the wicked, cursed doll.
The next morning, John went off to leave Sara at the new school. On the way, Sara threw the doll in a river. In the new school, although lonely, she was happy. She did well in studies, joined dance and music classes and took part in various games. Soon, it was almost six months since she joined the new school.
One day, the teachers took the children for a picnic by the riverside. They played, ate and danced all morning. Afterwards, they went down to collect pebbles from the riverside. She got so engrossed in collecting pebbles, that she got separated from the others. Suddenly, someone called her. She turned around to see the African doll covered with mud and twigs.
"W-what are y-you doing here?" asked Sara. "Well Sara, you threw me into the river and I missed you a lot. You caused harm to me. Come! We will have fun together! We will have a blast!" said the doll.
"No! No please! Dont come near me! Please!" Sara started screaming while running. The doll let put an eerie little chuckle. Sara kept running as fast as her legs could carry but she tripped amd fell down. The doll smirked and came near her.
"No! Please! Leave me!" whispered Sara as she couldn't scream anymore.
The wicked doll chuckled. "Ha! You think I will leave you? Never in your wildest dreams!" said the doll. And with that the doll took out a big knife out of nowhere, aimed it at Sara's heart and threw it with full force. Sara died instantly. "No one can stop me! I am going to rule the whole world!" the doll shouted.=======================
So! How was that! Do you have a doll in your house? Warning you guys! Dolls are wicked! And most of them are cursed!!!!
