With a great deal of embarrassment and hesitating, I sat myself down, looking at Dolores out the corner of my eye. Chuckling, I lowered my head to the table and refused to talk, avoiding all eye-contact, even with Tim.
"Don't worry, m'dear. We all go through that stage at some point. Or, at least, want to. Standing out in the rain, kissing the one we love... It's all so romantic..." Her words trailed off, as if she was thinking back. That was the second time that week that I had no intention on finding out about someone's backstory. I looked back up at her to see her shaking her head, tossing out whatever was playing on her mind from her head.
"Anyway, have you decided what you two are going to be ordering?" Dolores continued to ask us, walking up right next to the table. With a bit of a chuckle, Tim stated that menus could have been helping for their choosing, which Dolores immediately reacted to by handing us two menus, walking off blushing. I giggled and then felt kind of bad for her; she was old, of course that kind of thing was going to happen.
"So, any particular reason you wanted to meet me here? Or could you just not stand to be around my beautiful face?" I asked jokingly, tilting my head to the side so that Tim could easily see my sarcasm. The darkness that grew into his eyes and the lowering of the corners of his smile worried me a little. Was there something else that he needed to tell me?
"Hey... you okay?" I asked, placing my hand on Tim's. Minutes went by and he didn't respond, which worried me even more. I stared into his eyes, hoping that something would spark, but nothing...
Nothing happened at all...
"Oh, what a shame. Your date has left you the only one alive!" a haunting voice shook me from behind, sending a shiver up my spine. There was only one person that it could have been and I was hoping for my life that it wasn't them.
Turning around as slowly as I could, I saw him.
The Joker.
His green hair looked neat and kept, along with his purple tailcoat. The red that lined up to his cheeks looked more vivid than usual and his face was as pale as a ghost. I stuttered, hoping that what I was seeing wasn't real.
"I'll wake up soon... I'll wake up soon..." I recited in my head, closing my eyes and pinching my arm. Footsteps came closer as my eyes tightened shut. Attempting to shake the sound from my head, his voice rang out again.
"You look ravishing, m'dear," he tried complimenting me, but each word felt like he had a choke hold on me, disallowing any chance for breathing. Struggling for air, I heard a high-pitched squeal, the sound that I knew only came from one person: Harley Quinn.
"Puddin'! What about me?! You never say that to me anymore..." she complained, strutting over to me and shoving a baseball bat under my neck.
"Shut up, Harley. It'll be your time soon enough. For now, let's give this little lady's date something to think about while Miss Emerald powders her nose. My heart raced in my chest, my stomach tying itself in knots.
The words 'It'll be okay' rang through my head, but without meaning. I knew this wouldn't end well. I knew that if Joker had me, everything else would crumble down around me.
I tried calling for her, but my voice was too weak; it wouldn't allow any sound. The next thing I knew, I was being pushed into a car by Harley, unsure of where I was headed. If I were to die tonight, I could die a relatively happy girl.
"Tim..." I attempted to call, but he barely even lifted his gaze. I didn't know what was wrong, but I knew one thing. He wouldn't be able to save me tonight.

Hello, dear readers.
I apologise, I know I don't usually do A/N's in this story, but I thought it was quite necessary for this chapter in particular. Anyway, just thought that you might like to know that the next chapter will definitely be longer. My computer was changed around today, so I lost the data on it. But never mind that. I suppose it's a way to start fresh.
So, like I said. The next chapter will be longer, but currently, I'm having some trouble with ideas, so it may take a little while to get back into action. I hope you enjoy reading up to this so far.
Take care,
Love Batman xox
