It didn't really go as well as one would want but she was greatful that her father didn't grab Mathias by the hem of his shirt and throw him out of the house.
If that would've happened she'd probably become a tomato-like red, not a blushy romanctic one or an angry one, she'd be more embarrassed, he'd probably tell everyone and all though she could handle being the center of attention it wasn't something she liked. While recalling their conversation she smiled, Mathias showed another side of him, in a way she was proud and she was left wondering why she was proud, he basically made her father in to a foolish old man.
"Evelina!" she heard mother screech, she knew what this was going to be about and she did feel like running away, but her imstincts told her to go in get it dealt with and leave, head high.
"Yeah," she groaned and glanced at her bed - there, "I'll be right there."
"Why didn't you tell us that you were afraid of storm?" she shook her head and released her rich curly hair from a bun which was sitting on top of her head, looking like a bunch of excrement.
"It's embarrassing." she looked at the ground, playing with her hair.
"No, honey, it's not," this wasn't good, why was she so calm, "but you know the rule! No boys in the same bed!"
"Well, the rules are stupid! Like for instance, why can't we chew gum in the living room?"
"You know that your father stuck it on the chair and I sat on-"
"That's your clumsiness!"
"I give up, Evelina." she tied her hair in to a loose knot.
"Well sorry, I'm not Mrs. Obama! I'm not perfect, I'm not what you want me to be!" she fought, wondering why she had mentioned Obama's wife's name.
"Go up to your room!" Evelina's father snuck up on her.
"I will!" she ran up the stairs, tripping a few times, she felt as if she gained weight and her legs could no longer hold her body up.
Her body hit the soft mattress, she didn't know what to do nor did she remember when was the last time she was this clueless.
"Mathias,' she flipped her phone open and searched for the boy's number, "there."
"What's up?" she heard his soft voice, it calmed her and somehow the limbs in her body relaxed.
