Chapter 8
Ginny sleeps peacefully. Harry watches her the whole time. Ginny's eyes flutter open and sees Harry smiling at her. Ginny smiles.
"Hey." Harry says, smiling.
"Hey." Ginny says.
Harry gently kisses Ginny's forehead.
Ginny's eyes widen. "Ron!"
Ginny stumbles out of the tent.
"RON!" Ginny yells.
Harry stumbles out of the tent.
Ginny runs off to where the spilt happened.
"RON! HERMIONE!" Ginny screams. No answer.
"RON! HERMIONE!" Ginny screamed, again.
Harry takes Ginny's hand. "C'mon."
And together they run off the same way Ron and Hermione did.
"Harry," Ginny puffs, "W-we can't find them."
"We'll find them, don't worry." Harry says, softly kissing Ginny's head.
They keep walking.
"Harry," Ginny points, "Who's there?"
Harry turns to look. A person was hanging over the cliff.
"Is that....." Harry mumbles.
"Hermione?" Ginny asks.
They slowly walk to the person hanging over the cliff. To their amazement, it is Hermione.
"Hermione?" Ginny asks, with shock.
"Help me!" Hermione says, trying to pull something up.
"Where's..."
"Ron!" Ginny yells and jumps over. Hermione's trying to pull Ron up.
Ron's about to fall. If Hermione wasn't holding him up, he would of.
Ginny tries to help but Ron won't let her.
"G-Ginny, no."
"Ron, I-"
Ron looks at Harry and a message went through them. Harry pulls Ginny back.
"Harry!" Ginny yells, trying to get out.
"Ginny..." Harry looks at her like he would die if Ginny kept fighting him. It was a look only lovers could pull off.
"Hermione," Ron says, "Let me go."
"No." Hermione answers, trying hard not to cry.
"Hermione, please."
Hermione leans down and gently kisses Ron. "Goodbye."
Ginny rips herself out of Harry's arms and grabs Ron's hand just as Hermione lets go.
"Ronnie! You-you can't leave me!" Ginny says, half crying.
Ron looks up as Harry tries to pull Ginny away. "Gins, please. Just let go."
Ginny shakes her head, fully crying now. Ron's her last brother. She was NOT going to let him die.
Harry finally pulls Ginny away. Ron's hand falls out of hers and he falls. Helplessly falls, down where they can't see him.
