Loud music is pounding threw the speakers, to that everyone's feet are moving, body's swaying and arms in the air. The brunette in front of me would have all my attention if this moment was three months or more ago. Right now I just feel bored. I guess every, so called player once comes to a moment in his life when it just isn't worth it, it doesn't give you the same rush it once did. Many people say that players like to chase, but was is it to chase anymore? It isn't a chase if the are throwing them shelf all over you. If so I'm just taking.

"Do you wanna ditch this place" Ivy whispers into my ear. I don't look at her, letting my eyes glance over the floor.

Lyra. My eyes land on one of the persons I didn't expect to see here. She's standing a few meters away from me.  Talking to someone I can't see.

It better not be a boy.

She looks stunning, as always. Her dress is hugging all her curves, her long hair is going down her back. She practically glows, she's the only light in the room. Sadly I can tell that I aren't the only guy who is having eyes for her. I can spot men from all over the room eying her up and down.

What are they all staring at! Don't they have another woman to check out?

Making my way threw the dance floor with Ivy calling my name from behind, but I really don't care. And that's when I see she is talking to Elijah. That son of a bitch.

Elijah is probably the biggest player, I even think he turned in a paper on 'how to be a player' in English class. Didn't get the best grade but that really isn't the point. She doesn't look like she's drooling over him witch I take as a good sign.

Elijah has the howl "bad boy" look down. With black short chopped hair, nose and eat pricing . Tattoos covering his arm and he smokes more weed than Miley Cyrus.

"Hey Elijah" I greet him first. His before "charming" smile is now washed away with a smug face, he knows what's up. "And hello Lyra, I didn't think I would find you here." I say with a smile. I can't read her expression but I can tell Elijah is pissed. "Mind if I steal her?" I turn to say to Elijah.

"Actually-" he begins but I cut him of by saying "great" and start walking away with her, placing my hand on her lower back that she waist no time shrugging away. Witch of course make me smile. I find it adorable that she doesn't even let me touch her.

"You know I don't have any interest spending time with you" she bites.

"And yet you are walking with me."

I smile down at her and for a moment she looks into my eyes but that moment didn't last long since she soon enough looked straight forward again. I take a set at a bar stool and drag her down to sit on the one next to me. I turn around to face her only to be meet by a pretty pissed off face.

She's just too cute.

"So are you going to at least look like you are having fun or keep on planing my death." I ask her.

"I prefer option two."

"Ouch, you don't know how to let a man down easy do you?"

Maybe I'm just starting to imagine things because I'm so damn desperate for this girl but I think I can spot her trying to bite down a smile.

"The ones that worthy." she almost whispers.

"So what major-"

"Caden" I voice calls from behind me, I turn around to face the familiar sound to find little Ivy there with one of her leggy followers, whose name I think is Meg. " there you are! I have been looking all over for you. Where did you go?"

"Well-" I start, what do I say? I look over to Lyra who's looking at the two with discuss and maybe shock? But it soon covers up by a mutual expression.

"I'm just gonna leave you guys." Lyra gets of the stand and before I can make her stay with me she's gone.

Damit , now she probably takes me for even more of a player than before, they just had to come and ruin it. I finally had a conversation with her!

Wow, I really need to stop sounding so desperate and like a love sick puppy.

What was I thinking! You know how it's going to end! But still little stupid Lyra let him guide you away and let him try to bite down your walls

What was I thinking! You know how it's going to end! But still little stupid Lyra let him guide you away and let him try to bite down your walls. You know how it's ends. It always ends the same. Tears, heartbreak, depression, anxiety, pills...

And it always start the same, the handsome charming guy the every girl falls for with his humor, smile and charming ways. You already know how it's going to end, so don't even bother to start anything.

I mean, people always think that the most painful thing in life is losing the one you love. No, the most painful thing in life is losing yourself in the process of valuing someone too much and forgetting that you are special too.

My eyes are searching around the room looking for Brook, I spot her red dress and start walking to her. She's talking to a, I guess, handsome stranger in ripped jeans and black T-shirt. Clearly trying to get away with the oh-so-effortlessly-gorgeous look. Is it working? Maybe.

I grab her wrist and pull her away as I smile apologetic at the stranger with ripped jeans. Brook looks at me with her get-away-before-I-kill-your-cat look and I just roll my eyes.

"She will be back in a second." I bitterly say at the stranger who just nod but I can tell his eyeing me.

"What!" Brook does a frustrating gesture with her hand and is wearing a bitter facial expression. "I'm trying to get laid over here!"

I just roll my eyes " I'm just saying that I'm leaving."

"Okay, now I need to get back to tonight's Prince Charming. Get home safely."

"Don't do anything stupid." I say when we both start walking opposite ways.

"Yeah, right. Love you"

"Love ya"

Outside the cold air sends shivers threw my body. It smells a little smokey from everyone who's smoking outside. I didn't think that it would be so cold so I didn't care to bring a jacket. Wrapping my arms around me I'm starting to walk to the still busy street to try to catch a taxi. After a minute or two one is pulling up and I quickly get into it, closing the door as soon as I get in so I won't let the cold in.

" Lucky Bridge street 52" I say to the driver. He gives me that look that I get from pretty much every single taxi driver ever. They are of course wondering why a little pretty girl like me is going to that neighborhood. Well guess what? That the only apartment  that I can afford is apparently located there, and even there I struggle to pay my rent. He thankfully doesn't comment on it and let it go. The taxi starts moving forward as I see all the lights, people and buildings passing by, faster and faster by every heart beat.
