I'm standing in the destination I'm supposed to meet Lex. At a beachs parking lot.

I have no idea what I'm doing here.

The ground Im standing on is grass but its pretty much covered in sand, coming from the beach just a few meters down. You can hear the waves crashing onto the land over and over again in a soft harmony, making a calming beat. It reminds me of the music my mom sometimes played on the stereo when I was a little kid. She always wanted to live in a small house on the beach. Well, that dream of hers never came true.

Just when I'm about to come to the conclusion that this is the wrong place a car comes, rolling into the parking lot and seconds later Lex gets out from the passenger seat of the black jeep. She looks so tiny next to the grand car, crashing with her short bikini cover up and her heart shaped glasses, not those glittery pink once you had as a child, a pair of stylish ones with a this rose gold frame.

"Hey! Lyra." She smiles at me she she walks up to me. "To be honest I wasn't sure if you were going to bail on me." Lex jokingly says as she puts her glasses on her head making her red hair distance from her face. Why is she even wearing sun glasse? I mean its not that sunny, its evening.

"Me either." I give her a smal smile that problerly must lock patchtik next to her grin that reatch from ear to ear. Me and Lex are like fire and ice.

A boy with striking brown hair and a boyish grin comes up behind her. "Hi, I'm Darren." He takes his hand out for me to shake and I do just that. He has brown eyes and i must say he is quite the handsome man with his well built tall body. By the look Lex and the brown haired boy- Darren looks at each other I assume they are together.

"Lyra." I simply say with a fake smile on my lips,as usual, avoiding eye contact with mr. pretty boy.

"Well ladies. Shall we get moving." He says and we all start to walk down to the beach.

The longer down we go I start to hear voices and laughter, we walk a bit longer and soon enough I can see a bonfire not to far away with shadows of people around it. Some are down by the water and some are sitting around the fire. Laughing, dancing to someone's guitar play or making out. It's, like Lex said, not too many people here. It definitely not a small amount of people but not overwhelming. What I'm worried about is who this people are, are they the once i hated in high school?

I had a plan to stay close to Lex, how desperate that may sound she is my safety net, she knows these people and I don't but because of Darren I'm clearly going to be the third wheel, Im going to most likely sit by the bond fire, watching the flames like the little pyraman I am.

"Lex! You came!" a tall girl with wavy brown hair hugs Lex and I can tell they are talking to eatch other under the embrace. I wonder what it is like to be like that, have a lot of friends, be liked, people being happy to see you, not looking at you like you are a bug. I will never experience that.
