.:: CHAPTER TWO - Wait, What's In the Apple Juice Container?

I turned around on my heels.

"Pardon?" I asked, a confused look invading my face.

"That song you were singing," the man said. "I wrote that song."

My eyes widened. "You wrote Fallen Kingdom?"

He answered with a quick nod.

"So you're that sparkly dude?" I questioned.

"CaptainSparklez, yes. The one and only," he said doing jazz hands. I let out a laugh, but quickly shut myself up to make sure I didn't make a fool of myself.

"My friend Kayla is like obsessed with you, dude," I said, smiling as I remembered my best friend.

"Well tell her I say hi," he smiled. "I'm Jordan, by the way."

"I'm Dahlia. I just moved here, like, four days ago?" I informed him, although it came out more like a question since I had a hard time remembering when I first got here.

"Well Dahlia, welcome to Merriwyn. I hope our small population and lack of interesting things doesn't scare you away."

"I'll try not to let it get to me," I laughed. "But I best get going. I was supposed to be back home with tomato sauce a while ago."

"It was nice meeting you, Dahlia," Jordan smiled. "Oh, and if ever you needed anything, here's my number," he added quickly and took out a piece of paper, writing his number on it and handing it out to me. "Don't be afraid to call."

"Thanks. See you around, Jordan," I said with a wave.

After getting the tomato sauce that I needed, I headed back home with a smile. I guess that making friends wouldn't be that hard after all.

"Grams, I have your tomato sauce!" I yelled as I walked through the front door, the can in my hand.

"I'm in the kitchen, dearie!" she yelled back.

Kicking off my shoes, I joined her in the kitchen. "Do you ever leave this darn kitchen, Grams?" I questioned and put the can of tomato sauce by the stove where she was getting the spaghetti boiled.

"I do when I have to go to sleep," she told me, opening the can and pouring the red continents into a pot.

"What about when you have to go to the bathroom?"

"What do you think's in that old apple juice container, Dahlia?" she asked me, her face completely serious.

My face twisted up in disgust, making my Grams let out a warm hearted laugh. "Oh goodness, Dahl, you're so gullible."

"No I'm not, I'm simply related to a long line of poker face masters," I countered.

"Oh, whatever you think, dearie," she replied, waving me off. "Did you meet anyone around town today?"

"I did, actually. His name's Jordan," I told her.

"Oh, that's nice! I bet he's a good boy," she said as she finished up the spaghetti.

"He seemed nice. We only talked for a bit, but he seemed like the type of person that I'd hang out with."

After eating supper and cleaning up, I had a quick shower and headed to bed, tired from a long day.

〰〰〰〰〰

Filler chapter. Yay.

I'm actually one of those wacko ass people that enjoy filler chapters more than the exciting chapters, so I very much enjoyed writing this :) I actually once wrote a book a while back that was basically like two or three chapters where the characters actually did some productive crap and the other thirty some chapters where just fillers...

Yeah, I still love that book to this day.

Moving on from how bizarre I am, here's this chapter's specialties!
