.: Sydney :.
"Trust me, Syd. You DON'T wanna start "being friends" with Jacob..or his little possy." Kennedy said lowly. We were walking home.
"And why not? At least considering it?" I questioned.
"He's a player, Syd! Him, Chresanto, Craig, AND Raquan played half of the girls in that school... Even me." She looked down. I stopped walking.
"What?" I asked.
"Yeah. I never told anybody this, and it's a suprise that i'm telling you this. Only because I really feel that I can trust you. But yeah, I was one of their little play toys." She said air quoting 'play toys'
"How'd that happen?" I asked
"Falling for what Craig said.. His words, were always so hypnotizing. I felt like he was telling me the truth, on everything that he said. But I was wrong and felt for it. Lucky mines wasn't as bad as every other one of their victims." She explained.
"What happened with the others?" I asked looking at her.
"Once they've 'played' thier 'toys' all of a sudden the whole school is scattered with rumors about it. Thank god mines wasn't. Craig told me he didn't even speak to the guys about me, but I doubt that. If he did... Thanks to them that it didn't spread." She said.
That made me over think of starting to be friends with Jacob now. But of course I gotta watch his actions because I won't expect a thing when it hits me.
Gotta watch his words too.
Kennedy stopped walking and turned to me.
"Welp, this is my house." She said and I turnedy head to look behind me. The house looked really nice.
"I'll catch you later on?" She asked.
"Yeah." I nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow." I added.
"Alright.. Bye, Syd." She hugged me and walked up the stairs to her porch.
"Bye." I waved to her and smiled.
I turned my heel and started walking down the rest of the street to get to my house.
~At home~
As I stepped inside of the house I closed the door behind me and locked it. Seeing my mom sitting on the couch, Indian style and watching TV.
"Hey, ma." I said lifting my bookbag off of my shoulders and letting it fall to the floor. I threw my keys ontop of the TV stand.
"Hi sweetie! How was your first day?" She asked grabbing the TV remote and pausing the TV.
"Good I guess." I shrugged.
"What do you mean you guess? Did you make any friends?" She asked.
"Only one. She seems like she'd be my R.O.D ." I replied.
"R.O.D??" My mom asked with a confused face. I chuckled.
"Ride or Die mama.." I smiled.
"Ohhh. I had one of those before but I haven't spoken to her in a while... That reminds me. Lemme call her before I forget." She said getting up and walking to the TV stand.. Where the house phone was.
I sighed, picking up the TV remote and un-pausing the TV. Channel surfing.
As my mon held the phone up to her ear, she stopped and looked at me.
"Dinne should be ready in no time." She said and walked into the kitchen.
My mom cooks dinner early because we're always either busy later on, or tired.
