There were purple headed spiders everywhere; They were as big as the old TV me and Katie used to share. I tried to stay as still as possible, I tried to tell myself they weren't real. They wouldn't go away. I screamed, and fell.

2:02am.
From all corners all I could see were idiots throwing stuff and making out. I felt like I was going to throw up and my brain kept telling me 'too many people!!' But I continued to follow Katie because I was scared I'd lose her in the crowd. Katie convinced me to take her to the party if you can't tell, but that story's for another time..

All I had to do was blink and Katie wasn't in front of me anymore. Fuck.
I didn't waste my time looking for her, I already knew she would be with Tate, and that guy is bad news. I can just imagine Katie saying "scared?"

I'm not scared of him. I'm not.

I went over to the bar and the guy who looked about 19 looked at me. "Um. Water please." He looked at me like I was mad but handed me a glass with water in it. I took a sip and looked around for somewhere to sit away from the bar tender because he 100 percent thought I was weird as fuck. I don't blame him, I think I'm boring too. The only decent place to sit was next to some girl I'd never seen before. Hah, as if I was going to sit by her.

There was nothing wrong with her - I don't even know her. She was pretty too. She had brown hair and tanned skin, the colour of olives. She looked fragile and precious, like a fairy. She looked just as out of place in this place as me, with her denim skinny jeans and navy blue Nike jacket.

I just wasn't up for all that making friends thing, especially not at a party.

"Bro, you made it!" Oh shit. Oh fuck fuck fuck fuck. Shitettyshitshit.
That better not be-
"Oh, Nathan, you're actually here too." It was him. I closed my eyes tightly, hoping this was another one of those dreams that were real, but not real.
"Hi, Tate." I heard myself say. The bastard came over and stood in front of me. 'Don't make yourself with in shooting range, you dumbass.' I tried to mentally tell him.

"I didn't think you would actually come." He was amused by my drink choice, I could see it in his smirk. "So, that means Katie's here too, right?"
I was about to tell him to stay away from her, but he didn't let me. "She is hot as-"

I don't even know how it happened, but in the next second my fist connected with his jaw and he was holding the couch behind him for support. "You. Bastard." That set him off. I knew what was coming - I asked for it. So before he could retaliate, I threw my glass at his feet. They were bare. I didn't even look at his reaction before I said "And before telling my sister that you beat me up, tally up the fucking score."
