you have fought bravely,
conquering the wars
of your heart and mine
you have won many battles among the stars
with increasing infinities of scars
stronger weapons couldn't stop you from great heights
you knew your way around words
you would quote many writers in varying versions through the tide
like Cassandra Clare, Rick Riordan, J. K. Rowling, John Green,
Shakespeare, Charlotte Brontë, Edgar Allan Poe, Carolyn Keene
sometimes you'd use your words with great cunning
as a weapon when the world faked to be euphoric
and even as the atmosphere seemed to scream "dark and foreboding"
but in the end you had to die
because sometimes
bravery and trust can get people killed
with the good comes the bad as with the dark, there must be light
as the enemy surrenders
fearing more brutal truths
just remember to continue
for "it is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light (Aristotle Onassis)"
your life is so much more important even as you now look at it among millions

PoetryJust a thing for random stuff that sometimes go through my head. I think most of these are my failure attempts at a poem but I can't really write anyway.
