Mind. Blown.

I saw a human body start to appear in front of me, it was a girl about maybe twenty to thirty years old. She looked like a mix of American and Latina. Long curly brown hair in a half ponytail flew behind her back with the small breeze.

"Hello?" I looked behind me to see the bearwolves had come to a stop about ten feet behind us.

"Um we kind of have to go because these things are chasing us, sooo. . . "

I started to run past her when she spoke.

"It's okay. They won't chase you. Now, come with me."

I looked back at the others, what if she's bad? We won't know!

"Coming?" She was already twenty feet ahead of us. She waved her hand for us to follow as if we automatically trusted her. Yeah, sure, that was going to happen.

I looked at the group again. Sev, Sydney, and Corey nodded, okay so they think she's good. Whats with that? They just assume she's a good person.

Sydney's eyes stared into the woman's. They bored holes into the woman with flames of curiosity. Then Sydney shook her head and spoke, "She's good. I know."

Okay so Sydney was now a great judge? Well then, moving on!

We all followed her and looked around us tentatively at the changing atmosphere. I was a bit worried, but five against one? Should be an easy win if we need to fight.

Unless she's like a superhuman, or she has an army at home.

The rainforest changed from a muggy humidity and tropical landscape to a freezing cold, white with snow tundra.

I shivered and we, now all walking in a line next to each other, all nodded at each other and came closer in a walking group hug.

"When will we get there? And how is it all snowy if we're traveling south?" Aria's annoyed voice suggested her rage. We could all tell she was ready to burst in anger, and perhaps strangle the mystery girl.

She probably didn't want to even be following her in the first place.

"Soon," the lady responded, with a monotone voice. She didn't tell us why it was like the stinking North Pole here.

Aria 'Hmph'ed and broke away from the group's hug.

We all separated awkwardly now that one member had left.

I could see a little dot of white ahead of us. It blended in with the snow kind of, but you could tell it was different.

I wondered if that's where we were heading. I decided not to ask though.

It was starting to get dark, and did I mention that the sun had disappeared completely? So within time it was completely pitch black, I didn't have a clue how the lady could possibly see.

"Getting dark guys?" she stopped us and gave us all little things that felt like contacts, they were glowing green so we could see them well.

"Put these in your eyes," said the lady calmly.

We all looked at each other, and put in the contacts.

Sydney was the first to comment, "Whoa cool!"

We all exclaimed after her, the contacts allowed us to see in the dark. They were like night vision goggles but in a comfortable contact form.

I could sense everyone smiling as we moved on.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.
