A Tale of Two

The Truth Revealed

(Sophia and Gabby are eating their microwaved meal, Sophia gets up to get some orange soda and cups for them to drink.)
"I can't believe we are actually living like we used to back in college. Chicken and soda everyday for dinner."

"Don't forget the noodles! And the coffee!I don't know how I would have gotten a degree without it, I mean that was hard work to do......."(Gabby starts to ramble on and on about college life.)

"Gabby LOOK!"

"What did I do? What?!?"

( The soda starts to float in the air)

"SOPHIA YOU HAVE POWERS! YOUR A META-HUMAN! HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME YOU WERE AFFECTED BY THE ACCELERATOR!"

"I don't know whats happening, and I am not a meta-human I thought you didn't care about it, how do you know so much?"

"Like I said before, keeping people in the shadows."(Gabby smirks)

All of a sudden the girls heard a loud CRASH. Glass shatters and it sends both girls into a panic. Glass was flying everywhere and Sophia was hit, leaving Gabby in anguish and shock.

"Sophia!! Are you okay!!", Gabby cries out to get Sophia's attention.

Gabby stood up to check on Sophia.

Sophia lays silently.

"Please, come on this is not funny, You know I don't like games, well not this type of game anyway."

More glass flies into the room but this time not just glass, Gabby's hair was blowing. There seemed to be a flash of light, but Gabby couldn't tell. The streak vanished.

"Wait! Please, help me!"

Sophia's head shifts because of the wind created from the blur.

Gabby tries to find something to wake Sophia up. Gabby hears something in the distance

A man.

This man was not average. He was bigger and stronger and was heading towards Sophia and Gabby.

"Stay back, or i'll....Wow, who would have thought that all those movies where people get hurt actually would have had some context in this very moment, around this time the hero should come in."

The man walks closer. And rips out a pipe from the wall, spraying water everywhere.

"Ok so, waiting doesn't work. Guess i'll have to do this myself."

Gabby reaches over and grabs a fork that was found on the table

"Really?!? Ok whatever, gotta do what you gotta do."

Gabby stands up and runs straight towards the man and jams the fork right in his thigh.

"Looks like we are having a better meal after all!"

The man yells and throws Gabby across the room. Gabby hits the wall and falls. The man pulls out the fork and walks closer to Sophia,

"Gabby?", Sophia mutters

The man approaches Sophia and picks her up by her shirt.

"You're way better than that other one, she's a little feisty, you look sweet. And I like sweet.", The man snickers

"Let go of me!", Sophia says while struggling to get free.

Behind her, with every motion that Sophia makes, her anger starts to rise and so does the water

The man laughs at Sophia.

"Your a lot cuter when you are trying to get away."

"Let Me Go!", yells Sophia as all the water around her gathers and strikes the man like a tsunami would strike a city.

The man falls back and Sophia is set free

The blur returns and witnesses everything that Sophia has done.

"Oh my god! Oh oh oh my god! Oh my god! What have I done."

Sophia is proud of herself and then realizes that she has trashed her home.

"I'll take it from here.", Says the blur as he slings the man on his back.

"Thank you", he says to Sophia and runs off.

Sophia's hair and clothes are blown in the wind and she turns to Gabby who she found against the wall unconscious. Sophia shakes Gabby till she starts to open her eyes.

"Gabby! Gabby! Wake up! Guess what! I just used water to knock out some dude who thought I was sweet! Then the streak came, aka The Flash came and said thank you, to me! All because I helped HIM stop a meta human?!?!! Can you believe that!?! Do you know what this means!"

"Huhh?"

"Gabby! I'm a meta-human! I could help save Central City just like The flash! We could team up and stuff!"

"Oh really how cool?!?"

"I knew you would think so!",Sophia smiles.

"No, I was joking. I didn't even get to use my fork for eating. I used it to stop some deranged man that threw me against the wall."

"Your right Gabby, that wasn't cool. That was AWESOME! But first are you ok? you're not even bleeding."

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. I just got thick skin that's all. Nothing more nothing less, but let's focus on you. What are we gonna do about your powers?"

"Ok... if you say so. My powers, We can worry about that later."

"Yah I think we should."

Gabby leans over to give Sophia a hug. Gabby feels a surge of energy race into her and lets go of Sophia.

"Everything ok?"

"Yeah everything's fine"

"Ok so let's try out my new powers now."

"Uhmm I'm kinda tired from being thrown against the wall and not being able to eat my so called dinner.'

"Ok we can try it out tomorrow. Goodnight Gabby!"

"Yah, sure tomorrow. Goodnight Sophia.", Gabby says nervously.

"Gabby? I would hate to interrupt you from walking into your room but, We don't really have rooms anymore, it was destroyed remember?"

"Right, I'll call the CCPD to get them to come and investigate"

"Yeah I'll get us a cab and a room for the night at the hotel down the street from the job. At least we won't be late!"
