The girls are in their hotel room sleeping off what happened yesterday when the alarm clock rings."Sophia!! Turn it off! Give me like 5 more minutes", Gabby says as she puts a pillow over her head
Sophia sat up and reached over to turn off the alarm clock.
The annoying ringing stops.
Sophia looks over at Gabby and she is snoring once again.
"wake up Gabby you don't want to be late to your first day of work!"
Gabby still lays there soundly asleep.
Then she quickly gets up.
"Unless you want me to wake you up the hard way", smirked Sophia.
"NO!! I'm good! I'm wide awake!"
Gabby feared that Sophia would attempt to use her powers.
"What's the matter there's no need to yell. gosh, you're gonna wake up all the whole hotel."
I just wanted to try out my new powers by waking you up", laughs Sophia.
"I don't know just save your powers for later", says Gabby in relief.
"Ok then, let's just get ready to go to work"
**1 hour later**
The girls walked down the street of the hotel to go to work.
They finally reached their destination.
They stood in front of the entrance just staring at their new workplace.
Central City Picture News in big bold red letters as they analyzed that their dreams have finally been coming true. The girls exchange looks and they walked inside.
Inside the girls notice everyone studiously working, then they are greeted by a decent young women with luxurious curly black hair, deep brown colored eyes and a warm welcoming smile.
"Hi my name is Iris West and I'm here to show you guys around, I'm your mentor for the day. If you have any questions feel free to ask.", Iris said politely.
Sophia's face dropped, "Oh my gosh you're THEE Iris West! I love your articles on the Flash!! I find you very entertaining"
"Okay Sophia I think you're scaring Ms.West, you are being high key creepy Sophia.", says Gabby with a fake smile on her face.
"It was nice to meet you Ms.West", Says Gabby while she shakes her hand.
"No please call me Iris. This will be your desk and yours, Gabby is it? Will be your desk."
Sophia couldn't stop mesmerizing Iris so Gabby pulled her away.
"Thanks, Iris and my name is Gabby and I'm pretty sure you already know Sophia. She can be quite a handful.", Gabby chuckled and gave a stern look to Sophia.
"What did I do?"
"Almost embarrass us. It's our first day and people already think you're a nut job.", Gabby looks over to Sophia.
"Fine I'll calm down. It's that she's met The Flash before and maybe she can lead us to to him so that he can help me with my powers."
"Yeah right, your powers", Gabby murmured nervously
"Did you say something?", questioned Sophia
"No... ok let's get to work. So what should our first article be?"
"I was thinking we could do it on people getting their powers even after the accelerator! Like how it's still affecting people!", Sophia said enthusiastically.
"Can you give it up Sophia! Does every minute of every day have to be related to your stupid powers!", Gabby raised her voice and the room got quiet.
"I mean the scarlet speedster!?! People have done so many articles on him and his powers anyway right?!?", Gabby slowly started to lower her voice and turned her chair to face her computer.
"Well you...you're just mad because you weren't affected! You're jealous of me that's it's!"
"Sophia wait, it's not like that I didn't mean it.", Gabby says as calming as she could.
Sophia gets up and goes into the bathroom to wipe away her tears when she overhears Gabby making up excuses.
"I knew she was jealous of me. From the constant bickering about news to her watching me save the day and me getting to see The Flash", thought Sophia.
Sophia stops crying and grabs a napkin to dry her face and also overhears Iris talking to a guy named Barry Allen, supposedly he worked at the CCPD forensic science department. But Sophia was too upset to think about anything. Sophia stayed in the bathroom a little longer to think about the bad impression that she has made on her first day and how Gabby didn't help the cause either. Sophia looks at herself in the mirror and reflects.
Meanwhile, back in the office Gabby overhears a conversation between Iris and the person she was talking to on the phone. Gabby pushed her chair closer to Iris' office door so she could understand what they were talking about. People start to look at her.
"What? This isn't eavesdropping. This is just me trying to get her attention without being interruptive." Gabby said nervously as she scooted closer to the door.
The conversation went a little like this:
"Hey Iris!"
"Hey Barry, how you been?"
"I'm working on stopping this meta-human. Cisco calls him 'The Fist'. He's really strong, it was almost like re fighting that bully back in school, but don't worry I stopped him. Well I didn't necessarily stop him but someone else did. I just brought him back into S.T.A.R. Labs to put in the cell. He threw me into a an apartment and there was a girl in there who had powers. She basically saved my life to be honest. I'm trying to find her as well, she could be of good help. So please keep your eyes out."
"Ok no problem, did you at least see what she looked like? A description?"
"Sadly I didn't get a good look but she was with another girl in the apartment. Her powers was something along the lines of telekinesis.I'm going to head to Star Labs to get some Intel on 'The Fist' talk to you later."
"Ok good luck! Bye Barry.", Iris says as she pulls the phone away from her ear.
"Bye.", Barry says as the call has ended.
Gabby couldn't believe it! Barry Allen is THE FLASH!!
She quickly got up and went to find Iris.
"Hey Iris?", Gabby asks while knocking on Iris' door.
"Yeah"
"Can I go on my lunch break now?"
"If you want to go now, but don't you think it's a little early for lunch?" Iris questions Gabby with a puzzled look.
"I'm just very hungry.", Gabby says.
"Ok you have an hour.", Iris finally gives in and tells Gabby.
"Thank you so much!", Gabby shakes her head and turns back to her desk.
Gabby quickly puts on her jacket, grabs her stuff and rushes out of the office.
A couple seconds later Sophia gets out the bathroom to apologize to Gabby, But Gabby and all her belongings are gone...
