Marriage or a compromise

Randhir rushed back to his room as soon as the doctor left. He again took her head and kept it on his lap.

"Randhir doctor said na she will be OK." Renuka caressed her son head.
"Hmm.." he just hummed. All his attention was on Sanyukta.

"So.. go.. change your clothes and have your dinner." She said. She knew it will be useless to tell him do so but she loves her son too much and she can't let him suffer. He was hungry and tired and ignoring his health will not do things in favour.

"No mom... I'm not Leaving Sanyukta alone " He repeated.
"She will not be alone. I will stay with her.. you go.."

"I'm not leaving her with anybody.. I saw how you people took her care." He accused her. Renuka felt hurt hearing his words but she knew somewhere her son was right. No matter Sanyukta said she should have informed Randhir about her health.

"OK don't leave her.. you can change her.. looking at your wife and I will bring your food here only. You can have it in your room." Renuka protested. How can a mother leave her son hungry? Her heart doesn't allow her to do so but her stubborn son was letting her do anything to comfort him.

"No mom how can you expect me to do something when sanyukta is in such a condition." He kissed her palms. "I'm not hungry."
"But be.."

"Mom.. you and everybody else too.." He said looking at rest of the people standing there.
"You people can go and sleep now.. I'm here take care of her." He smiled a little.

"Renuka let's go. Leave him alone for sometime. You know your son." Harsh made Renuka understand.
"Hmm." Renuka nodded.

Renuka and Harsh left the room. They knew telling Randhir something right now was useless all they could was
pray that  Sanyukta gets well soon.

"Ron.. you are behaving like an insane." Vidhushi said
disgustedly. She know her brother is immensely in love with this woman bit that doesn't give him any right to misbehave with other people and treat them wrongly.
"I know you love her but that does not
mean you will talk to Badi Maa like this.. She is your mom Randhir.. she was just being  concern for her son." She added.

"Vidhushi please leave.." He tried to sound  calm.
"No ron you are wrong... I can't let you be so mad in love.. That you ignore every damn thing." She yelled.
"Vidhushi out.."Randhir clenched his jaws. This girl was testing his patience now.

"Vidhushi.. let's go.." Parth tried to take her out of the room.
"But Parth.. He.." She said.
"We will talk later.." Parth said dragging her out.

"Kaustuki you need special invitation.." His voice was cold.
"Bhai.. wo.. I was.. just saying.." She stammered. After so long she saw thid angry Randhir.
"Now dare you start that nonsense again." He pressed his teeths in anger.
"No bhai.." She shook her head. "I was saying.. if you need anything feel free to call me and Sanyukta will get all fine.. soon." She kissed Sanyukta forehead before leaving the room.

Randhir kept on sitting in the same position all night murmuring sweet nothings to her and kissing her forehead eyes cheek lips occasionally.

Whole night he kept on looking at her. His body and mind wanted rest. But his heart didn't let the eyes het shut. What if she wakes up while he is sleeping. He thought. Therefore he decided not to sleep and watch
her whole night.

"I love you." He chanted and kissed her forehead.
"Nothing will happen to you." He looked at the watch. It was showing 4 in the morning. But still there was no sign of her waking up.

Slowly his body and and mind gave up and he was force to shut his eyes.
His nap got disturbed with some movement near his lap. He opened his eyes and looked at the clock. 6 am
it showed. Damn how could he sleep. He cursed himself. He looked down to see her moving slowly in his lap. She is gaining conscious. He smiled. He caressed her head as she opened her eyes.

"Randhir.." She called him.
"Sh!" He put his finger on her lips. "Ekdum chup." He hushed.

She tried to get up when Randhir hold her asking her not to.

Please.." She pouted and now he can't ignore her wish. He carefully made her sit with a pillow resting at her
back.

Randhir was to say something when they heard a knock at the door. He got up to open it only to see Renuka standing at the doorstep.

"Mom." He whispered.
"Sanyukta.. how is she? Had she gained her conscious?" She asked.
"Yes she had gain her conscious." He said letting her come inside.

Renuka smiled looking at her daughter-in-law.

"Mom.. you are awake?" She asked
"How can I sleep when my babies are not sleeping?" She said sitting beside Sanyukta. Randhir felt guilty on hearing her mom's words. He was so rude with her still she is being so caring towards them.

"And you were crying too?" She asked seeing her puffy eyes. Renuka nodded.
"See now I'm fine.. Don't cry now." She wiped her tears.
"Promise.. now you rest." Renuka caressed her cheek kissing her forehead.

"Mom.." Randhir whispered.
"Its OK Randhir.. Take care of her." She patted his cheeks and smile sadly before leaving the room.

"Gussa kiya mom par?" Sanyukta frown at Randhir. Randhir nodded and settled himself beside her.
"Why?" She crossed her arm across her chest.
"Sorry.." He mumbled.
"Don't say this to me.. say to everybody you got angry on." She demanded.
"Promise... now please you don't get angry on me." He said hugging her.

"Mat kiya karo itna gussa.. you saw na how sad mom was." She hugged him back.
"Im sorry." He kissed her neck.

"I was just worried for you and because of that i got angry on everyone. You know na what you mean to me. I was not in my senses when I saw you like that.." He justified himself.
"But that does not mean you will take out your anger on someone else. Someone who is not even responsible."

"You did not change your clothes even.. Dinner bhi nahi kiya hoga?" She scolded him and he just shook his
head.
"And see your eyes... You must not have slept also?"

"I should be the one scolding you for being so careless regarding your health but see I'm the one who is being scolded." He sighed.
"I was not careless I promise." She said shivering thinking what if Randhir scold her.

"I know..I was careless who could not even properly take care of his love." He pecked her head.
"You are the best Randhir.. never say that again. Jitna tum meri care karte ho utni koi nahi karta " This time she kissed his forehead.

"Sleep sanyukta..you need rest." He said making her lay down on the bed again.
"You also need rest." She said opening her arms for him to come and lay with him.

He smiled at her gesture and quickly lay down beside her in her arms. Her hands started to unbutton his shirt when he stopped her.

"You need to change this Randhir.. Its stinking." She twisted her nose.
"And don't think you will not get the punishment Mr. Bhulakar.. just let me get OK.." She said unbuttoning his
shirt and hugging him.
"Sleep sanyukta.. We have long day to go." He kissed her hair and hugged her back.
