"Ew!" cried Alison and Chris in unison after Taylor and Ed separated from the kiss, both breathless with shock and amazement. Both stared at each other, still in shock, before Ed mumbled, "i have to go."
Ed shouted for Chris to come over to him and say goodbye to Alison, which he did, then they two began to walk out the door, Taylor stopping them, "Wait!"
Turning around, both Ed and Chris looked at Taylor in confusion. Taylor gulped before asking a question about a statement that left her hanging, "What were you going to say at the end of the statement that you had started before I kissed you?"
The question made Ed's cheeks tint red, then he shyly mumbled in reply, "That I loved you..." Then her quickly head out the door without response from Taylor, whose cheeks were now also tinted with red due to being flattered. Then, under her breath, she mumbled to herself as if Ed was there and listening, "I love you too."

"Isn't it so weird that we went here exactly one month ago when we barely knew each other, but now we're best friends?" Ed asked after the waitress left from ordering their drinks. It was Taylor and Ed's one month anniversary of being "friends" (as Taylor put it), since nothing was official yet between the two despite the fact that both have undiscovered feelings for each other.
"Ironic," Taylor mumbled uncomfortably, knowing Jackson would be there since he is a waiter and all she could think about are the possibilities of him breaking the two's friendship.
Both talked through the wait and through the entire meal, and then it was a total deja vu. "I have to use the restroom, I'll be back in a moment," Ed said, wiping his mouth then scooching out of the booth he was sharing with Taylor.
Taylor sat uncomfortably, eagerly waiting for Ed's return so she wouldn't have to be seen by Jackson, yet unfortunately, she was. And just like a month ago, he walked over and sat down into the booth with her.
"Thought about it babe?" Jackson whispered into Taylor's ear, making Taylor feel very uncomfortable and she couldn't help but get shivers from his words. The jokingly, she leaned over into his ear, and instead of whispering, she said in a loud voice, "Yes, and the answer is NO."
Jackson held his ear as if Taylor just severely hurt it, then stood up from the booth and shrugged, "You can still think about it. I'm single, you're single, and it's just meant to-" "-not be," Ed said, interrupting Jackson, anger boiling up in his blood.
Having to look down for his extreme height, Jackson looked at Ed and flashed a fake smile, "I'm Jackson, Taylor's ex-husband. And you are?" Ed looked shocked at what Jackson had said. He moved his glance from Jackson to Taylor and said with more anger from Taylor's secrecy, "Ex-husband?" Taylor slumped down in her seat and mouthed, I'll explain later.
Ed's glance turned back to Jackson after he repeated himself, "And you are?" "Ed, Taylor's current boyfriend." Jackson sarcastically laughed, "I'm sorry, but I think I am, her current boyfriend." Taylor stood up, trying to stop the "silly" and unnecessary argument that they were having, instantly regretting it.
"Taylor," Jackson said as soon as Taylor made her way to the two men, "Who is your boyfriend?"
Taylor couldn't help but laugh. Well, mentally laugh. His question sounded like something an eleven year old would ask to a girl, but for heaven's sake, they were 30 year old adults! Questions likes these that were asked by adults would obviously only be in the movies where 40 year olds act like teenagers, but not in this case, where it's real life.
The answer was obviously clear for her, she didn't have a boyfriend. But the answer that she didn't have one would crush Ed and Jackson would take the chance to try to be her boyfriend. And if she chose either one then the other would be angry with each other.
Without thinking though, Taylor blurted out the person's name whom she thought of first, "Ed." Then suddenly, everything just became worse. For the guys, it was apparently a big deal to date her, but for Taylor, it seemed so childish and stupid that she couldn't even process it.
Even though this couldn't be even more stupid, it sure was bad fight.
And Taylor couldn't get out of it.

It was about fifteen minutes before the fight was broken up by the manager, and it somehow turned out more serious then she thought. When Ed and Taylor left after paying the check that night, Ed had a few scars and bloody nose, which Taylor thought was unnecessary, yet that's still what made very serious.
As they got into the car, Taylor and Ed sat in silence for a while, until Taylor finally broke it, "Why Ed? Why?" Ed looked over at her when they came to a stop light and sighed, "I'm sorry Taylor it's just that... I didn't know about Jackson."
"I'm sorry Ed. I should've told you," Taylor said with guilt. They were silent again until Taylor spoke again, bringing up something good, "But I can't believe you 'defended' me like that... Thank you." Ed smiled and blushed before mumbling, "You're welcome."
They were silent again for the rest of the ride to Taylor's house. When they got there, both hopped out and Ed walked Taylor to her porch. Ed gave her hug and right before he left Taylor stopped him, "Ed wait!"
Ed turned around and looked at Taylor. Taylor took a deep breath before saying, "I know you said a couple weeks back that we were more than friends..." Ed nodded. Taylor continued, "Well... I've never really considered that we were official. I mean, sure, I had feelings for you... but not deep feelings for you."
Taylor stopped and took a deep breath again before continuing, "But now I do have those feelings." Ed smiled and walked back up the porch, "So we can be..." "Ted Sweeran!" Taylor said jokingly, making up a ship name like the people would make for her and her past boyfriends when she was as celebrity. Ed gave her two thumbs up and smiled, "We'll be Ted Sweeran!"
"I ship it!" She laughed, knowing that Ed probably knew what ship names were too since he had heard of them before. "So do I!" Ed said before kissing Taylor on the cheek and walking down the driveway to his car.
Taylor closed the door and immediately fell into of fit of laughter. He was so cute with his child-like personality.
Which was just like hers.
