As I woke up all I could think about was how comfy and warm the bed was. It felt as if I was enveloped in this cocoon of warmth and just laying there felt so peace full.

Not to mention I was circled by Masons arms, his hands wrapped tenderly around my waist and holding me close, his body wrapped around mine protectively and his head snuggling against my shoulder. His breath fanning across the skin of my neck I felt his steady breathing, and I knew he was vastly asleep. Smiling to myself I slowly untangled my legs from his, and wriggled out from underneath his arms. Mason stirred, but as I pressed my lips softly to his cheek he continued sleeping.

Slipping into one of Mason´s over-sized shirts I made my way down to the kitchen, my surroundings completely quiet and devoid of any noise.

Reaching the kitchen island I started searching the fridge, taking out vegetables, bacon, cheese, eggs and some other stuff. I started humming as I searched the kitchen cabinets for a frying pan. Turning on the stove I started chopping the veggies, slicing the bacon and rasping some cheese, before starting to cook an omelet. Also finding some toast I turned on the oven, grilling the bread slightly.

I was completely focused on my cooking, humming happily as I hopped around the kitchen. Sniffing the air I smiled when the delicious scent of the omelet reached my nose. I poured two glasses of juice and started rummaging through another cabinet for two plates.

Putting them on the counter I started plating the omelet and grabbing some utensils.

"Good morning love" Masons voice reached me from the stairs, which I could see from the kitchen. Mason was leaning against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, an amused smile playing across his lips. He was only wearing a pair of jeans, and I  nearly burned my hand as I stood there looking at him with this goofy grin plastered on my face. God, I´m such a dork.

"Morning" I muttered, rolling my eyes at him as I saw the way his eyes roamed over my body.

"You look good in my shirt" Mason commented as he walked up to the counter and came to stand in front of me.

"Boobs make everything look better" I replied, winking at him.

"Agreed" he said, smiling before taking a seat on one of the stools and gesturing for me to sit down beside him.

We ate in silence, and I couldn´t help but feel utterly and completely happy. I still couldn´t believe how rapidly things had changed after I left my pack. My whole world had been turned upside down, and my perspective on life had completely changed. I had let go of the silly idea of children's fairy tales, the whole "happily ever after" thing. What mattered was the here and now, and right now I was happy. I loved Mason more than anything in the world, and I knew that even though we werne´t mates, we belonged together.

"What are you thinking about?" Msoan said, bringing me back to reality. I noticed we were both done eating and started reaching for the lates.

"How happy I am" I answered truthfully, smiling as Mason took the plates from my hands and put them in the sink.

As I reached for them to start washing the dishes, Mason stopped me, wrapping his hands around my waist and caging me in. He pressed me against him, his chin resting on my shoulder. I playfully swatted at his arm but he refused to let me go.
