So uh, I'm in a lake. Yea... Life happens, no big deal. Except I'm surrounded by tiny swarming fish and the lake gets deep pretty quick. The water is pretty murky and I can barely see anything unless I'm near the shore. I had a sudden fear that something would come up from under and drown me to death, maybe eat a little of my liver, like Prometheus. The water's temperature was pretty damn cold, and I don't believe anyone in their right mind besides me would have this little common sense. Although the view aside from the water was pretty nice. Pine trees were lightly scattered everywhere, leaving little pine needles trailing alone everywhere you step foot. The taller trees grew high above the eye's sight, and you could see many nests burrowed in their branches. Snow blanketed almost everything in its way, which felt like you didn't want to disrupt nature because you might ruin the beauty it portrays. I turned around in the water, wanting to absorb the view in every way possible. Simultaneously, I was dragged underwater, my legs practically immobile and having no capability of saving myself.
Well, I guess you could call me a fortune teller...

About 4 hours before......
As Max and I walked back to school, he suddenly stopped and turned me to face him, "Hey, I never quite got your name?" He asked.
"Oh it's Natalie, Nat for short, Nat Prat... get it?" I chuckled awkwardly.
He laughed lightly,"Yea I get it... I like that, Nat Prat, mind if I call you that?" He asks, scrunching his eyebrows together, which in my opinion looked pretty adorable.
"Yea yea of course, I mean that is if we actually ever see each other again. I mean, this whole situation seems pretty cliche too me, don't you think?" I ask.
"Uh... sorta, I guess," He states softly, looking away from me.
Oh my gosh, you idiot, you offended him, dear lord think of something quick.
"Um, I didn't mean it like that, I meant... like it seemed like something you'd see in the movies. Not that I'm complaining or anything. It was quite enjoyable. Thanks, and sorry if I offended you." I stutter, mentally fist palming myself in the process.
"It's quite fine. Really it is. I see what you're saying. I mean I would love to see you again. But just in case we don't, how 'bout we do something memorable, something spontaneous?" He proclaims.
"I'm not sure... I already skipped a period, and you know what I said about my teacher. I just don't think it'd be a good idea. I-I um... I just..." I mutter.
I look down at my shoes, feeling extremely awkward. I could feel Max's body heat as he moves closer to me, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me towards him. I was startled at first, but soon relaxed, allowing the warmth surround me, closing my eyes. I could feel his breath travel along my face until it lingered around my ear, "Please. Just like you said, we might not see each other again, or even talk at all for that matter. I'd really enjoy seeing your face everyday, it'd be a nice addition to my routine..." I couldn't help but laugh at this, opening my eyes to look up at him.
"And why would I want to be added into your so called routine?" I ask, trying not double over in laughter.
"Because I'd like to see your face and hear your voice at least once a day." He claims.
"Real smooth mister, real smooth. Smooth moves."
"Yea, I got those smooth moves, If you'd like to see them I'd be-" I interrupted him, not wanting to hear the rest of that.
"So um, you wanted to do something worth remembering right?" I ask, wanting to change the subject, while also wriggling myself away from his grasp.
"Changed your mind I see. Well, yea of course. But the only condition is that it's a secret. So you won't know where we're going, ok?" He says.
"Yea yea fine. Sure. Whatever. I just really don't wanna go back into school."
And also talk to you more.
"Ok, great." He exclaims, while I groan, not really knowing what's in his imagination right now. He starts walking away, motioning for me to follow him. We reach a Geep, and I look at awe, wondering how he could afford something this pricey.
"Nice ride." I whisper, still staring at the beauty of it.
"Thanks," He says, suddenly leaning in to whisper in my ear, "So uh, you gonna get in or not?" He asks, to which I glare.
I walk around the Geep, until I reach the passenger seat, open the door and climb in. Feeling the rush of warmth surround me, I sigh. I hear Max get into the driver's seat and start up the vehicle. I lean my head on the window, quickly glancing over to Max to see him staring at me. I blush, a small smile forming on my lips, "So uh, you gonna drive or not?" I ask, mimicking him.
"Oh uh, yea yea." He clears his throat and I smirk.
Natalie 2, Max 0.5
He starts up the car and starts driving. I relax into the seat, wrapping my arms around myself. Closing my eyes, and drifting into sleep, not really caring to be nervous about the surprise. When it comes, it comes.
