I laughed. "Nice one J, or should I say Jack?

He stiffened.

"No, Riley this is serious. Don't crack jokes about something which could have a dramatic effect on not only you but me as well."

My laughter died out suddenly. The smile on my face slapped off.

"Are you serious. How? Why?" I questioned.

"Of course I'm serious. Didn't you just hear what I said before. Trust me. I'm not going to lie to you at all." He sighed but continued, "It's a long story and we will be here for ages. Come on lets head home to mine."

I hesitated for a few seconds but decided to agree. "Alright. Let's go." J stood up first and pushed me ahead of him. I could feel the heat coming off his body. He obviously was scared about my reaction to the absurd news.

Once we were outside of the party house, we walked to J's car and we rode all the way home in silence.

I didn't miss the fact that George was standing outside watching intently, his eyes flickered yellow but I had better things to worry about.

I managed to find the guts to text mum and tell her that I would be home late and not to worry because I would be with J. Mum trusted J so I knew she wouldn't mind that much.

When we got inside J's house, first of all, I noticed the chilled air. I shivered and went over to the sofa, pulling my dress closer around me. After switching on the lights and heating, J soon followed and sat beside me.

"So, where were we? Oh yeah. The part where you were explaining why I'm a so called demon."

"Half demon." He corrected. I gave him the signal and he began his explanation.

J Pov

I told her about how her grandma fell in love with a demon. She believed me.

I told her about how her grandma had a child with a demon. She believed me.

I told her about how she had an uncle who was a demon. She believed me.

I told her about how her so called demon uncle had sent me to kidnap her. She believed me.

What they wanted to do with her, I don't know. She believed me.

Was there anything that she didn't believe? I could tell she believed me and I loved her for it. She trusted me and that was most important. Obviously she would believe everything I said, the dose I had given her made her oblivious. She was being forced to believe all crap that came out of my mouth.

But I could not brush off the immense guilt I was feeling. I wished that I didn't have to use the elixir to make her believe me. I wish I didn't have to use the elixir to make her have false feelings towards me. I didn't want to play with her mind and feelings, but I had to. I have no choice.

The harsh reality that I would have to hand her over within the week so that I could secure a safe stable future for myself. I had to think of something, a plan that would save the both of us.

All my instincts told me that she was the one. She was one in a million and my love for her would never end. She was my girl and I loved her. But I only wished that she truly loved me back, without the effects of that elixir...

J finished telling me the truth. I was confused but I believed him. I just knew he wouldn't lie to me. I sighed and sat still for about a minute while I processed it all.

"So, my grandma fell in love with a demon. With that demon she had a son. After sometime the demon she fell in love with died. Grandma was forced to leave her son as having a relationship across species was against the order."

"Right." J said.

"So what is this order again?" I asked, seriously confused.

"The order was a set of rules that each demon had to follow. It turned out that the demon went against the order because he fell in love with your grandma. The child; half demon and half human was being hunted because of it. He would be killed as soon as he was spotted." He explained.

"So to make it less obvious, my grandma left him."I finished off for him.

I took a breath. J squeezed my hand in reassurance. It was definitely a lot for me to take in. Nevertheless, I carried on.

"My grandma then tried to live her life as a normal human but unfortunately lost track of her demon son. She eventually married to my real grandad and had 2 children. My dad and Aunt Helen."

I paused looking up at the time. It was nearing half past eleven.

"So now my apparent 'uncle', who is a demon, wants you to kidnap me and take me there. You were sent to 'get to know me.' In hope that you would persuade me to elope with you. If that wasn't successful, then you would forcefully take me to him. And your not meant to tell me anything...."

J nodded. By this point my head was pulsating. Its not that I didn't believe him but part of me wished that I had never found this out. A stray tear rolled down my cheek. J managed to catch it between his thumb and finger.

"I'm really sorry. But you had a right to know. The moment I saw you, I fell for you, hard. I didn't want you to think that I was a moron. Look even after all this, if you still don't believe me then I only have one more option which I really hope I don't have to use. I'll feed you my memories. Good ones, even bad ones. I won't have a choice every single second of my life will be replayed and set before you."

I thought about it. It would help me to understand this all better and J. But I would invade his personal life and space. I didn't want to do that. I had no choice I would rather see and know everything even if it was painful.

"That's what friends do don't they? Share moments with each other. Be it happy or sad... Ok. Show me then."

"Are you sure. I won't be able to guarantee anything. You may regret everything you see. As soon as it starts, it wont stop till the very end. But I'll be here right next to you watching everything you see."

"Alright. I'm ready but don't leave me J."

"Don't worry. I wont."

With that, J brings me closer to his side and gently plants a kiss on my forehead. I smile and he smiles back. He interlocks our finger and it only takes a minute or two. But then the visions come. They come fast...
