Chapter 10

"Bruno, what are you talking about? Danny... He..."

I can't control the tears that begin to stream down my face. I dismount again and hold the stallions reins close. Animals always seemed to help.

"Bruno, please! Tell me you're lying..."

"Luci..."

"NO! He's not here."

"He was talking to your friend Luciana. I saw them talking"

"No. He wouldn't do that to me! He... He couldn't!"

I become a hot mess, hugging the horse for comfort, and he seems to realise I'm upset and nuzzels into me. Bruno came up to me and hugged me, and I began crying in his arms. The guys didn't know why I was crying but they needed to know.

"Bruno. You tell them."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes"

"Huh... Guys, Danny - Luciana's ex-boyfriend raped her. He hurt her and left her in her house. You need to help look after her. Who knows what's going to happen if he finds her."

"Luciana..."

"Guys, don't. Please."

"Okay, just stay here okay. Stay with the horse and don't talk to your friend tomorrow!"

"I won't go and see him"

I look at Bruno and open my mouth to apologise to him. I was so hard on him and he's only trying to protect me. I mount the stallion once more, feeling safe on his back. I rode to the hotel with Bruno and the guys with me, and saw Bruno C at the door. My eyes began to water and I shook my head he tilted his head and I knew that he realised I knew about him and Danny. I was fuming, it seems that everyone I believed that was there for me is changing their loyalties. I don't like it one bit. I decided to lead Bruno Mars to the vineyard and ask if he too, could borrow a horse.

"You can ride... Right?"

"Urmm, yeah. Of course I can. I mean, how hard can it be?!"

"Bruno..."

I watch as he flailes around on this horse. It's kind of cute, he makes me smile in the darkest moments of my life. But I need to know why Danny is here. Tomorrow I'm confronting him. He is getting a piece of my mind. He's going to wish he never followed me here.

Danny. I'm coming for you.
