"She's a traitor." He accused me. "Take her to Indra."

"How can I be a traitor when I'm not Trikru?" I answered him.

Many people in the tribe surrounded us to see what was happening. None of them said a word. That is until a distinct voice rang through the silence.

"Let the chief go through!" A male voice said in Trigedasleng.

I looked behind the man in front of me, only to see Indra walking straight towards me. Her and my father never got along, so she holds some grudge against me. I'm not quite sure what's she going to do. But one of the possibilities is that she will hold me as a prisoner. And eventually kill me.

"What is she doing here?" She asked Artigas.

"She trespassed our hunting grounds."
Artigas confessed.

"Why were you close to Tondisi, Astina?" She asked me in a harsh tone.

"I wasn't paying attention, I accidentally came across Artigas and he caught me." I said." I intend no harm to you and your people, I ask you to let me go. You don't have to see me again."

"We can't trust her, she's been with-" Indra rose her hand up telling one of his guards to stay out of this conversation.

"Why should we trust not seeing your face again? I've heard you've been with the sky people?" She asked.

"Yes, I've been watching Skaïkru ever since they've been down here." I calmly said." You can trust me because I have no intention of coming back here."

She held this look that told me she didn't believe me. But I looked back into her dark brown eyes, with a face that read honesty. I have no reason to lie to her.

"But yet, you're here?" She asked.

"Like I told you, I didn't realise I crossed your grounds. If I knew I did, I wouldn't be here." I said as she once again looked at me with a suspicious look.

"Did you tell Skaïkru anything about us?" She asked.

"I cannot answer that."

Now I could feel many intense stares from every and each person who was listening to our conversation, they didn't like my answer. I tried not to make any eye contact with the people surrounding me, but the pressure got the best of me and I ended up taking glances at some of them.

"You will be freed," Indra said, I looked up to her." With one condition."

I nodded, telling her that I accepted and would not break the promise.

"You may not go back to Skaikru's base camp, you may not talk to them or do any kind of messaging." She said and I thought for a moment.

They are provably planning something. But, should I accept? I still don't know what they'll do to me if I don't follow their conditions or break them.

"What if I break your rules?" I asked and a glare was sent my way.

"If you do, my people will hunt you down and sent you to Lexa. And I'm sure you don't want us to do that. Now, to make sure you don't break this promise, Artigas will be in charge of you. You will be allowed to hunt and walk around freely, but, you will not have access to a bow and arrow. Only knives." Indra said.

Artigas nodded, he was happy he got to do something important as guarding a prisoner. Well, more like a temporary visitor. Either way, I'm going to find a way to get out of here. And I don't know if they actually contacted Lexa or not, so the sooner I get out of here the better.

The huge crowd slowly cleared out as me and the boy Artigas walked away, I could tell that he was very calm even though I was behind him and I could have a knife and kill him. But if I were to do that I wouldn't do it here, not out in the open. Plus, I don't think I would bring myself to hurt him, he's too good of a kid and he's just following orders. I have to wait until I'm alone.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, taking me off guard I looked up confused.

"What?" I asked.

He stopped and turned to me." Are you hungry?" He repeated.

"Why are you offering me food?" I asked very suspicious.

"Like commander Indra said, you are not a prisoner. I just have to guard you." He said.

"Fine then." Artigas turned around and started walking.

I followed behind him as he nodded hello at all of the people that passed by him. I'm glad they didn't pay much attention to me, they sometimes took small glances at me, at least they are not like sky people. If they could, they would stare a hole right through your back.

I looked around the village that a few years ago used to be small, but we are talking about fifteen years ago, when i was five and it was surprisingly over populated. Now there is at least one house per person, if not more. It has extended into the forest. My memories are a bit blurry, but I could see witch buildings were already there when I first came here. Some of them were a bit crooked, others were missing a part of the wall which they covered with a price of metal they've scavenged from the woods. The houses were all made of different materials, some of them were here even before the bombs that completely ruined this planet, and you can tell that they were really well made.

You could also make out some colours, like blues and reds, yellows and oranges, greens and violets. In the old days, my father, told me that they used to paint the walls to make than look nicer, they painted animals, inanimate objects, instruments, and many more things. And he told me that if you looked hard enough you would actually see some of the drawings, I tried many times, but I could never make a figure out of black lines and colours. He told me he once found a complete drawing of a blue animal they called a 'whale', he said they were the prettiest and most amazing animals he'd ever seen.

I snapped out of my thoughts as Artigas guided me inside a small house. Inside there was clothes, weapons, and food. There was two big heads of deer, a huge bear pelt and tons of small rabbits and birds. But the thing that really caught my attention was two black jackets hanged on one of the walls. Looking closer I noticed dark blue outlines and one of them had small pecks of blood. They looked very familiar.

Where have I seen these before?

Realisation hit me as my feet slightly moved back.

Those are Skaïkru's clothes.
