Those are Skaïkru's clothes.
I started at them for a long time until someone called me." Astina. " It said.
I looked right to see Artigas standing in from of the door, with a small bag on his hands, ready to leave. I took one last glance at the clothes before following him out of the small house. He took me to a tree close by, it was considerably big, he sat, back against the tree, and I just stood there. For a moment I didn't know what to do, making up my mind, I sat down beside him.
"Why didn't you run when you had the chance?" He asked out of the blue.
"When did I have a chance?" I asked.
"Many times. When I got down from the tree I was completely defenceless, it would take me awhile to grab my bow. Also, when I guided you here, you could of ran through the trees around us, it would of been hard for me to shoot you. And I'm sure that you knew you could do it. Why didn't you?" I looked at him.
"You're right, but, if I actually ran. What would you do? Would you just go back to the village? Or would you try and catch me?" He frowned, it was clear of what he would answer.
"I would go after you." He said.
"Exactly. I had no chance of getting away. There are many warriors guarding the village all around, either way I ran, I would eventually run into one. You could, also, warn them, each person is at a range that allows them to hear the two people beside them, if they shouted." I concluded, hoping to be right.
He didn't answer me, he just sat there beside me not murmuring a word, until I broke the silence." How old are you?" I asked.
"16, why?" He answered.
"Just curious." I said.
He nodded and then we fell again into silence, I could tell that he didn't talk much, and he was also a bit shy.
"If you're planning on escaping, you can go." He said.
I looked at him confused before answering." Why would you let me go?"
"Because you don't belong here. But if you go you have to promise that you won't tell the Sky people anything about us." He said.
I stood up as he handed me over his bow and arrows." I've been with the Sky people ever since they came here. If I wanted your people dead, you would already be."
I ran off into the woods without looking back.
