Slowly I paced sensing anticipation from my pack. We entered the clearing and it was like dejavu as my paws hit the muddied earth and felt the dew stained grass. Sam's part of pack entered the clearing and we all mind linked. I felt the anticipation, curiosity and eagerness from everyone. What were we to face? Who knows? All we could do was get ready and wait. As the sky darkened and the thundered crashed over head we made our attack formations. The rain stuck to my thick russet fur as I made my way to the front of my pack and stood equally next to Sam.
The sound of someone running with quick heavy breaths made my hackles rise. Quickly a dark figure busted through the trees and darted into the clearing. The figure made an abrupt stop as it caught sight of the pack of wolves. The figure was a mere few feet from us. I looked it over quickly. It wore a heavy white cloak, hibaj like Muslim women and a veil. It's body was probably injured from the way it walked. It's back had a huge hunch as it fell to its knees in front of us. Slowly I growled, it wouldn't look at us. That was disrespect to any alpha. Sam along with me growled. Slowly it looked up and I was meet with large beautiful kaleidoscope eyes of the lightest grey and blue.
The packs gasps as they saw what I had in my mind, I had imprinted on the danger. But when I looked her over what danger was she- I now presumed she was a girl obviously, to us. In her hands something stired and gave a loud cry. Many of us growled, what weapon did she have. She looked at us with angry pierced eyes and rocked it slowly. On closer inspection I noted it was a baby, how close she held it I didn't know if I should take note if it was hers. I walked over to her slowly and she stepped back, I looked into her eyes and flinched. If looks could kill. She stopped her glaring when their was a russle in the trees. She got up quickly trying to dart but I caught her easily by her cloak with my teeth and set her beside Leah. The girl stayed put but fear crossed her eyes.
"Sam why do I have a feeling she was running from what was coming"I said and he nodded.
" She wasn't the danger - that is" He said and took an attack stance. When I looked over I saw an ugly creature. It's face deformed, it's skin practically melting and it's eyes pure red - filled with evil. The creature was a soulless monster who walked in a deranged way. It couldn't be more than a mere five feet, but quality at this point didn't matter - it was quantity.
"What the fuck is that" Paul growled.
" I don't know - but it has friends" Leah mumbled. As she said that about ten more came out, we outnumbered them two to one.
"Attack" Me and Sam growled in sync. We charged prepared for a nasty battle. They're eyes became wide but all to suddenly a dark thick fog wrapped around them, we slowed down as we stood in the place they once had standed. They had disappeared.
" Don't worry wolves I'll be back for the princess soon" A snake like voice hissed, and with that the darkness faded, the thunder declined and the rain stopped. The moon shined, it's beams landing on the young girl and child.
We walked back to her she stood where we had left her. In human form we made our way back. Even without my wolf senses I could tell she wasn't human, so I wasn't surprised to know she hadn't fainted when she saw us phase back.
"Who are you?" I asked her and as soon as I talked her head snapped up to meet my gaze. Recognition crossing her eyes. She looked like she wanted to say something but stop. She pulled me down on the wet grass and looked into my eyes. Searching for something that was clearly already there. She extended a shaky glove covered hand out and caressed my face. Sparks ignited. I had felt this before.
"Your the girl from my dreams" I whispered and the pack gasped.
"Where you trying to find me?" I asked and she nodded, her blue eyes content as I relaxed into her palm.
