Ch. 6- No. Way.
Pic on the side is of Eddie------------> (Not exactly how I imagined him, but pretty close)
After hearing those four dreaded letters uttered in my direction, my first reaction was to poof Ramona and myself out of there.
"Did you hear that?! Oh my gosh, you're his mate!" Ramona sat squealing in my room.
"I am NOT his mate, and I most definitely will never ever be his mate!" I exclaimed.
"You're not? But then, how's it possible?"
I didn't answer. I didn't know.
"It must be some sort of mistake then. Maybe his true mate was sitting right in front of us or something," I said, trying to find a reason behind this.
"The thing is, there was no one in front of us," Ramona said.
"You?" I asked.
"It couldn't have been directed towards me, I would've felt a pull," Ramona sighed.
"I didn't feel a pull either. Then, how?" I asked.
"Well, I'm not sure, but I'm positive that you're going to have him tailing you like a lost puppy on Monday at school," Ramona sighed.
I groaned. I forgot all about school.
"Well, let's enjoy the rest of the weekend while we can," I said, defeated. I ran my hand along the wall of my room until I reached a small depression in it, to small for a human to notice. I pushedfirmly against the spot until the depression started expanding and caving in. Soon, it was a misty hole in the wall. Ramona and I walked through it. This was the secret entrance to my magic room.
It was completely sound proof and indestructable so that I could practice my magic without getting any attention. The room was really big, and I mean REALLY big. Since I can pretty much poof up any object I want to, I went all out with the dećor. The walls were lined with apple green silk embroidered with pure gold thread. Pretty much all of my furniture, including my bedframe, dresser, bookshelf, and desk were carved out of pure marble. The ceiling consisted of a glass dome from which I could see the sky through, and the floor consisted of plushy gold carpet with a large pool in the center covered by a sliding glass panel. In the pool you could see a variety of strange looking fish.
I heard an annoyed squak and looked up. There, sitting on her marble perch, was Fiona, my pet phoenix. I got her as my 15th birthday present from my mom. My mom probably got her from an illegal dealer, but I'm not positive. Fiona was a lovely bird, with just about every shining shade of color on her feathers between pale yellow and dark maroon. She stood tall and proud most of the time, especially now when she was annoyed.
"Now what?" I groaned. She flew off her perch and landed neatly on my shoulder, rubbing her head against my cheek.
"Aww, I think she just wanted attention," Ramona cooed, rubbing Fiona's head gently. Fiona flew onto Ramona's shoulder from mine after giving me a hard glare. I heard a crash somewhere. My head turned towards the sudden noise. I saw my bookshelf overturned. After yet another sigh, I flicked my wrist and returned the bookshelf back to it's original position. I saw a small figure cowering on the ground.
"Joey," I scowled. "What are you doing to the bookshelf?" Joey let out an embarrased laugh and stood up. "I just knocked it over, I swear," he said innocently. Joey was a weird dragon-griffon combo with a meaty body and green shiny scales with little tufts of white feathers peeping out from under them. His head was actually quite round and adorable. It looked just like a regular dragon's should, excluding the feathers. He had feathery wings and razor shap talons that were not extended at the moment. He couldn't be more than two and a half feet tall. Well, he was only three years old, yet he was quite mature.
