When the first wave hit, nobody knew what to expect. But as power plants worldwide abruptly terminated, many were forced to scatter in search for the meagre resources once precious to Mother Earth. During this time of fear, the once stable population of the human race is now hovering near extinction.
But Freya Park knew better. After all, the time of great trial had only just begun. Now isolated from the rest of the world, the lone girl begins her journey west across the barren land in search for solace on a near-incinerated Earth. Until she makes an allegiance with a fellow survivor named Ben Parish, Freya finally allows herself to have hope. Maybe together they can find refuge safe from the Others... but will the risks be worthwhile?
