Play it Again

Chapter 35

Grant's POV

I wake up the next morning and feel nothing on the other side of the bed I sit up and wince when I still feel the pain on my ribs I take a deep breath then get dressed and walk out and head for the nursery and relax when I see her and Chris both sitting in the rocking chair asleep he's curled up into her a chest and she has a blanket covering both of them I pick him up then lay him in the crib and put the blanket over him then gently shake her "Babe come back to bed." She stretches then lifts her arms up in the air and lets out a little moan when she does that it drives me crazy She gets up and follows me back to bed when she gets in she curls up next to me and lays her head on my chest and goes back to sleep. I wrap my arms around her and stay awake thinking about her, Chris, the new baby she was currently carrying and I thought about us getting married I knew there was planning required and she had a certain idea even if I didn't know anything about it but I wanted it to be soon where I wouldn't have to worry about losing her to some other guy.

Vanessa's POV

While Kevin and Kevina are still asleep I wake up and walk outside to the balcony of our bedroom and take a seat and take in a long deep breath and just take in the morning, I hear the sharp click of claws on the floor I look over and see Blade standing next to me I reach over and start scratching his head and he places it in my lap "There's going to be another baby in the house how do you feel about that?" He looks up at me and starts wagging his tail he did great getting used to Kevina and now at night he sleeps in the floor of her nursery right by her crib so hopefully he would do well with another baby coming in the house. I let out a sigh and keep scratching his head and rubbing his ears he lets out a sort of huffing noise but keeps his head in my lap. Then I hear footsteps and I look up to see Kevin standing next by the door in a pair of sweats rubbing his eyes. "Hey Kev you're up early." His voice is still raspy and deep when he answers "I saw that the doors were open and you weren't in bed so I came to check on you." I pat the chair next to me and he walks over and sits down "Are you okay Ness?" I look over at him and his eyes are worried and nervous "Yeah Kev I'm fine so is the baby." He reaches over and holds my hand and I look at him "I love you Ness." "I love you too Kevin." He looks over at Blade and tries to get him to come over to him but Blade stays rooted in the spot next to me Kevin lets out a sigh "Looks like we are going to be having a problem with the second one Grant told me that Hades did the same thing when Mal was pregnant with Chris." "Well you did want a guard dog Kev so now he's doing his job." "I'll see how they handled the Hades situation." I roll my eyes he still hated Hades with a passion and I don't understand why he never tried to hurt him Hades was just a big ball of fur that was it.

Mallory's POV

I was sitting in the living room with Chris in my lap playing with him and watching him laugh and smile at the faces I was making with Hades by our side then Grant opens the door and Jett and Nora trot in then he shuts the door behind him I look up at him as he walks over "Have a good walk with Jett and Nora warbler?" "Yeah it was fine you want me to take over I'm sure Hades would like to go out for a while?" I nod my head then pass Chris over to Grant "You sure you can handle this?" "Babe you let me watch him for a whole night I can handle him while you go out for a little bit everything will be fine." I lean down and kiss Chris on the head then Grant on the cheek I grab the leash and hook it to Hades collar and we walk outside of the house and start walking. We end up going down the street to Kevin and Vanessa's house.

Kevin's POV

I answer the door and see Mallory standing there with Hades by her side "Hey Mal nice to see you out and about even though you have demon dog with you." She sighs and rolls her eyes "He isn't a demon dog you just don't like him and he's Hades named after the Villain in Hercules who rules the underworld now can I come in or not?" "Yeah sure come in your hormones are acting up already." "Vanessa told you?" "Yeah you don't have a problem with that do you?" She shakes her head no then Vanessa walks in the room with Blade by her side and I hope that there isn't going to be a dog fight between Hades and Blade. Vanessa walks over and hugs Mal and she hugs back "Well I will let you two have some time to talk." Then I walk out of the room leaving the two girls time to talk.

Vanessa's POV

I look over at Mal and smile "So I have something to tell you." We both walk in the living room and sit down "Are you okay?" "I'm great but I'm pregnant again." "That's great how far along are you?" "One month you?" "Two months." We both laugh because once again the two of us were going to be pregnant at the same time and I felt bad for Grant and Kevin. She looks at me "How are you feeling so far?" "I feel great what about you?" "I'm really tired with this one and I'm only at two months but no morning sickness yet." I nod my head "So how is it going with you and Grant is everything okay between the two of you?" When I mention his name a smile appears on her face "Things are still good surprisingly his ribs are still hurting him from the accident but that should go away in a few weeks." "I wasn't asking about his ribs." "Oh you mean that its good it's a little hard but we were able to the other day." "I'm glad you were able to fix things he loves you." "I love him too Ness I don't know what I'd do without him." We keep talking for a while but our conversation is ended by two low noises and a set of snapping teeth. I look down at Blade and the fur on the back of his neck is starting to stand up "How did you deal with Hades when he was like this?" "We couldn't do anything we just had to deal with it." We hug then Mal gets up and walks out of the house.
