When Hikari could see again, she was in a completely white room, with one wall made out of thick glass. Thankfully there was still a Matthew beside her, but his eyes were closed.
"Matthew? Where are we? What the hell is going on?" Hikari chocked.
"He cannot hear you; we switched him off for the transmitting process." Leinad appeared by the glass wall. Hikari screamed as loud as she could and all Leinad did, was raise his four-fingered hand and stick it to the window.
"What the hell are you?" The frightened little girl said.
"I am Leinad, an Ekul. We as a species built Matthew there and sent him down to investigate human behaviour, to assess whether or not you were friendly, or not so. We discovered that it entirely depended on the individual." Leinad started to explain.
"Does Matthew know this?" Hikari said, feeling lightheaded but starting to calm down.
"No, that's why I brought him here today to tell him."
"Please let this be a dream." Hikari whispered, praying.
"This is no dream." A robotic female voice filled the room.
"What was that?" Hikari asked Leinad.
"That, my friend, was Evelyn. Evelyn, please initiate process 0426-861 to set down mode."
"Affirmative."
"This really is no dream is it?" Hikari said, collapsing on the ground unconscious. Leinad gave an unseen sympathetic smile before sending for help to be sent to the girl. Matthew opened his eyes. He looked at Leinad and gulped. He couldn't move his body, and saw Hikari lying on the floor next to him. He watched painfully as she was taken away from him, and he was completely powerless to stop them.
"Matthew, I have been patiently waiting your return. I knew we would see each other again. I have some things to tell you. Are you ready to hear my story? You better be; we don't have much time until you must make your final decision. Here we go. You must be wondering where you come from and who you are, no? Well I have all the answers to the questions you hold. You are not a human." Leinad started to explain, but there was a high-pitched scream in the background.
"Evelyn, let 0426-861 speak." Leinad said, and Matthew was filled with an instant uncontrollable rage. He yelled as loud as he could, but Leinad patiently waited until he stopped.
"What have you done to Hikari?" Matthew shouted, regretting following the voice inside his head.
"Don't worry, she's fine. Now, let me continue. You are not human. You're not even a so called alien like I am. You are a robot." Leinad said, allowing the information to process in the artificial intelligence.
"You're a liar; I will never believe anything you say ever again." Matthew said, closing his eyes and hoping that he would wake from the nightmare soon.
"Oh, you want me to prove it to you do you?" Leinad said, pressing a series of buttons on a remote control. Matthew gulped as a huge robotic arm appeared through a hole in the wall. Leinad assured him that it would not hurt. Matthew was powerless against the arm as it drew a line from his left wrist to his shoulder. He felt no pain, only nausea as his skin parted easily and revealed electronics inside. He started to cry.
"Why are you sad Matthew, you always wanted to know who you were didn't you?" Leinad said, a serious look on his face.
"Not like this!" Matthew screamed, still convinced that he was dreaming. Hikari was allowed back into the room and she ran straight to Matthew.
