It took a moment for Edd to catch his breath. Kevin was looking at him in such a way, a distracting way, an implausible way that made Edd weak in the knees when he was already pron to weak knees in front of Kevin.

"What?'

"the back message you promised me."

"i don't recall ever promising you such a thing"

"Really?" Kevin stood there arms crossed, looking at Edd ,teasing playfully, suggesting a game that Edd didn't know weather he wanted to take part in. A game Edd didn't know how to play. Edd still looked confused, lost in himself as he tried to compose himself as he searched his memories from the night of the party so that he could answer Kevin more confidently.

"Yes," Edd asserted, Turning his back to Kevin and started to sort his things all the while he tried to keep the meter to his breath. If he was going to survive living with Kevin- he was sure he wasn't going to- he was going to have to keep measured, composed, and calmness around the whole afar. Every slip in the facade could have him found out by the other athlete and he would be crushed. Not ruined however, this love was young and would fleet away as it should. It was a crush, He told himself, an unwanted one. "Besides I'm not in the mood to do one now. It takes awhile to actual do thorough job."

Kevin groaned, clearing his throat as if to prevent a cough, "Yeah...yeah I get that. I could still keep talking about 'you know what if you don't-" The rise in tension after the phrase was saved by Kevin's phone ringing.

"This is Kevin," he answered, Edd couldn't help but compliment the low thickness of Kevin's voice. Edd would never admit to anyone besides himself but his voice washed over him like a dream. How old fashion of his to introduce himself first when answering the phone, very classy. Double D had a weak heart for vintage and old school style. He blamed old wifi movies and the twilight zone for getting him interested.

Edd went about his about his business. He bought a new labelled just for the occasion of starting college. He of course was going to reel in the labeling a significant amount now that Kevin was sharing the dorm with them (he had been told that excessive labeling can be annoying to roommates).

sharing a room with Kevin, oh the very idea of it made his head fuzzy. He had to stop thinking about it before his mind wondered to bathroom thoughts.

Edd was nearly done preparing his side when Kevin spoke to him.

"Hey, Double Dork" Kevin said with a knowing smile as Edd turned around to meet that banter with a comical arch of an eyebrow. "You wanna get something to eat. Nat just meet up with Naz and they want to go get something. Nat insisted I invite you" he rolled his eyes at insisted but still kept the smile on his face. Honestly it was unfair how even in regular conversation how magnificent Kevin's face seemed to be, every expression more captivating before. Edd hoped one day he would get arrested for being too handsome.

"That's very kind of him. I will accept his invitation," Edd smiled throwing on a dark blue cardigan that he personally though highlighted his eyes. "Are we leaving now?"

Kevin had an unreadable expression on his face, his eyes glued to the cardigan, perhaps he though the additions was unfashionable. He didn't say anything about it though, "Yeah...uh. They're already on their way over, we could just wait with them downstairs in the court yard.

Edd placed his card key gingerly in his plain brown leather wallet, tucking it into his back pocket. He watch Kevin, briefly, finger his hair in the mirror, in a quick effort to fix his hair before going out the door. Edd made sure to school his expression as he watched too. Kevin's hair always did leave him a little breathless, seemed to have a character of it's own ever since they were children. As his head of hair grew fuller, so did his...feeling? Edd didn't want to say that, not even in his own head, but it sort of marked a progression of his interest. Yes, interest with Kevin doesn't sound as compromising as "feelings."
