Josh's POV
It had been a month since Kennedy had left and I basically just went to class, watched movies, and wrote songs. It was getting really boring, and I didnt know if I could take that much longer here. I know I havent been here that long, but after Kennedy left thats all I think about, heroin hasnt even slipped my mind. Of course I was devistated and kind of mad that she left. But the worst part is that she hasnt even tried contacting me at all. I dont even know if she lives with her mom anymore, so it would be weird if I sent a letter there and have her not live there anymore.
Jake had gotten annoyed with me being all depressed so he moved to a different room. I asked the front desk and she said that I wouldnt be getting a roomate. I was sort of glad. But I really needed someone to talk to and get my mind off of Kennedy.
As for Kennedys old roomate. She moved rooms too, mainly because she didnt want a new roomate. So she moved in with one of her friends.
I was just leaving my room to go try playing a new song I wrote and I saw that a girl was moving into Kennedys old room. I went up and helped her bring in her stuff. She gave me her schedule and we only had one class together. We both went and sat on different beds in her room in awkward silence until she spoke up.
"oh, by the way im Amanda. Whats your name?" she asked (A/N I know that they didnt meet like this or anything but its a fanfic so yeah whatever)
"What a nice name" I said " and my name is Josh" I grinned
"oh geeze im so sorry, I must be keeping you from your classes!" she exclaimed
I chuckled " Its alright, I have music right now, and I dont go to that class. I made a deal with the teacher that if I present a song or half of a song by the end of the week then I dont have to go to his class."
"Oh thats neat. I've never really been good with music. I've tried writting but it never turns out well"
"well Im free right now, we can go down to the music room right now and we can work on a song together.. That is, only if you want to."
"Oh I would love to! Thank you so much!!"
