I looked everywhere. Even the beach. I couldn't seem to find her. Eventually, I went to her brother, Malcolm. "Hey, Malcolm?"
"Yeah Percy? What do you need?"
"Where's Annabeth?"
"I think she went out with some mortal friends."
"Ah. Ok. Thanks Malcolm."
"You're welcome Perce."
After that little talk, I went to the arena to practice. Guess who I saw there. Annabeth throwing knives at a target. I was confused. I thought Malcolm told me she was in town? Oh well. She must've just got back. I walked behind her and screamed, "BOO!!" She jumped like, ten feet into the air.
"Gods Percy, what the heck!" She was breathing heavily. I moved closer and kissed her lightly on the lips. I smirked and hacked some dummies next to her.
After about an hour, it was time for my sword fighting class that I taught. After that I headed over to the beach for a swim. As I ran down to the beach, I saw that someone was already there. I smiled. I snuck up behind her again. "Boo!!" She turned around and smirked. "You won't get me a second time, Seaweed Brain." My shoulders slouched and she said, "Hey, to cheer you up, let's go for a swim." My eyes brightened up and I grabbed her bridal style. We ran into the ocean laughing.

I stretched and sat on my bed, ready for sleep. As sleep took me, I thought I wouldn't have any bad dreams after the great day I had. I was wrong.
Dream.
I'm fighting on the front lines in the battle for Manhattan. 'This is the part where Annabeth saves me. Why am I here?' I thought. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my back. I looked back and screamed. Annabeth didn't save me. She was off to the side, shocked. I felt a terrible pain in my back, as if someone was taking a knife and slitting two lines right on my shoulder blades. I haven't felt any pain like this before. I screamed again.
I woke up with a jolt, smacking my head on the bed above me. I tried to stand up to see what time it was, but I fell over. My back seemed a lot heavier. I thought it was just fatigue so I tried sanding up again, this time leaning forward a little. It worked and I walked twords my clock. I looked at the time. '5:30' I thought, 'the sun will be up soon. I'll go for a walk.' I got on a shirt and jeans, then walked outside. I started tword the beach. When I reached there, I heard a noise. My body tensed and I felt my back get heavier. I turned around slowly and saw Grover's girlfriend, Jupiner. (Sorry if I spelled it wrong.) She was staring at me with mixed emotions. Sort of a confused horror sort of thing. That's when I realized that she wasn't staring at me, she was staring behind me. I slowly turned around and saw nothing. I heard a flapping noise and tensed again. This time, after I tensed, I heard a ripping noise and a large shadow fell over me. I turned my head around and what I saw filled me with horror.
