Recap: Lamont takes Angel & Aniya to the mall. While at the food court, Angel’s baby daddy Chris pops up, pulls Angel to the side & starts saying how much he changed & wanted to bein Aniya’s life. He proved Angel wrong when 2 of his hoes pops up, Angel left with Aniya & Lamont, & Chris ended up leaving with one of his hoes, & was determined to get back Angel & his daughter.
Angel’s POV
Ugh I can’t believe that Chris actually had the audacity to think that I was gonna believe that he changed & was gonna let my baby around him & his hoes! Chris loves the hoes & the hoes love Chris! Mad he ruined my damn day.
Lamont: A penny for your thought?
I forgot I was still in the car with Lamont for a minute.
Angel: My bad. It’s nothing really.
Lamont: Come on Angel. You know I know you like a book I’ve read 10 times. Its Chris isn’t it?
Angel: Yeah. I just can’t believe he thought that after 3 years, I would welcome him with open arms & let him be in Aniya’s life. My daughter does deserve to have her father in her life but not if he’s constantly messing around with all these hoes. I don’t want my baby around that mess. She has a good male figure in her life & it’s going to stay that way.
Lamont looked at me & smiled. He grabbed my hand & kissed the back of him. I started blushing.
Lamont: You know I don’t mind helping you out with Aniya. I love that little girl like she was my own. I’m not going anywhere.
Angel: And thank you for being here. Ever since you’ve moved back & been hanging out with us, she took to you so well.
Lamont: Yeah. Ready for me to take you girls home?
I looked into the backseat & saw that Aniya was in her car seat knocked out, holding this big Hello Kitty teddy bear Lamont bought her.
Angel: Niy Niy is sleep so yeah.
Lamont: Alright babe. Your place it is.
Lamont’s POV
During the rest of the drive to Angel’s place, I couldn’t help but think of how much I missed being in a relationship with her & how much I actually wanted to be there to help her with Aniya. I really do love her as if she was mine. I think it’s time to have that talk with Angel about us being more than friends.
Lamont: (tapping Angel’s shoulder) Wake up Sleeping Beauty! We’re at your house
Angel: (wakes up) dang. I didn’t realize I dozed off.
Lamont: School must really be wearing you out.
Angel got out the car & unhooked Aniya from her car seat, grabbed her diaper bag, & started walking towards the house. I started grabbing their things from the mall & Aniya’s car seat. The 3 of us went into the house.
Angel: I’m about to go put her in her bed. You can set those (gco)
Lamont: Set the bags on the couch & her car seat by the side door so in the morning you can just put her car seat in your car before you leave. I know the routine.
Angel laughed & went upstairs. I sat on the couch & began watching TV. I had just finished watching Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta when Angel finally came back downstairs. I looked up & she was wearing some Hello Kitty pajama shorts/tank top/slippers & I could tell she just washed her hair b/c it was real curly. She had her Hello Kitty headphones on & sat next to me studying her phone.
