CHAPTER 7

“I went onto the official website for the child service and then hacked into it so that I could get to the official records and then searched my name. All I found was that when they came by there was no one there and that I was really skinny and under nourished and starving. They say that my parents had been gone for some time they think it was around two weeks or so, but they don’t know for sure. It says their names are Rebecca and Randy Black. It doesn’t say what their jobs are but I can do some more digging and find out probably,” I say to Ash, who has been staring at me and trying to figure out how I did it, but I don’t think he has figured it out yet.

“I still don’t know how you do it but you are amazing,” he pauses then says, “Does it say where they lived or where they picked you up?”

“It has one address: 73027 King Ave Tattooine, NY.” I say, “I have never heard of the city, have you?”

“No, but I don’t think it’s very far away. We are in Hoth, NY. by the way.”

“Ok let me just do a search on it and then we can leave and go see if they still live there. Sound like a deal?” I asked.

“Ok, but hurry. It’s almost noon,” was all he said and then went back to staring at me while I worked out the little problem about the directions.

He was right it is only about 10-15 miles away from Hoth. I did some more digging and found out that we are in luck that they still live there. “I have some good news and bad news, the good news is they still live there; the bad news is that I don’t know if they are there right now or if they have gone on one of their trips. Here is the instructions and how long it will take to get there although it won’t be long,” I say with a smile that shows how proud I am of my work.

“You are SO amazing, you know that right?” he says and gives me a proud smile and a big hug.

“Yes, I know, I am amazing and a life saver,” I give a little laugh, “When do you want to leave to go find them?”

“How about right now?” he asks.

“Sounds good to me,” I tell him.
