(Time skip to end of day)
Newt's POV
-
It was almost time for the last bell of the day to ring, and I would get to take Tommy to my house. I know we just met, but he's nice, and I like him. It's not like he's going to kill me if I let him in my home.

The bell rang and I gathered my things, packed my bag, and started walking to the flag pole. Thomas was already standing there, he smiled when he saw me. I smiled back.

"Hey, Newt," he said as I got closer.

"Hey, you ready to leave?" I ask.

"Yep, do you have any homework?" He asks back.

"Math."

"Same." He rolled his eyes. "Oh well, we can help each other, I guess."

"Right," I say. "Let's go to my car."

We walked from the flag pole to my car, and got in.

Thomas' POV
Newt's car smelled like strawberries. Yeah, I said it, strawberries. Don't judge me. I kept peeking over at him as he was driving, while his eyes were locked on the road. At least he might not notice it, then. I got kind of nervous about sitting in a car with someone who I just met, who could take me anywhere he wanted. It was kind of scary if I thought about it, but I tried not to. I knew I could trust this kid. I really liked him.

"So, Tommy," he started speaking, "When we get home we can do our homework. Luckily, my mother doesn't get home until 7:00 p.m. and my dad is rarely home, because he's a police officer, so it'll be very peaceful. No one to bother us, and ya' know, distract us from... homework." He looked at me, then back at the road.

"That's good," I say, "We'll be able to focus, then."

"Yep, it'll be just us, Tommy."

I just look at him, I'm smiling, but he can't see it. I guess it would be nice not having to worry about his parents not liking me. He pulls into a driveway.

"This is me," he says while parking.

I unbuckled my seat belt, and so did he. We both grabbed our bags and went inside. Newt lived more in the country than in town. His house was beautiful, it wasn't too big, but it was comfortably small.

"Let's do our homework in my room, I'm just used to that," he says.

"Okay," is all I reply with. Newt seemed to be very comfortable and sociable for not having any friends. He's easy to get along with, why wouldn't anyone want to hang out with this guy?

We walk down the hallway to his room, he leaves the door cracked a bit. I sit my bag down in a corner of the room, and pull out my math book and my math binder, as does he.

"Okay, Newt, sooooo," I flip through the pages, "Page 367." I find a pencil and hold it in my hand. I notice Newt isn't opening his book. I look up to see him staring at me, leaning with his elbow on his desk and his hand in his hair. Gah, he's so attractive, I think to myself. "What?" I laugh at him.

"Oh, I don't know, sorry," he says, breaking his gaze and turning to his book. "Page 367, right?"

I look back down at my book, "Yeah," I pause, then continue, "You don't have to apologize, Newt." I look back up at him.

"Really?" He asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Really." I reply, with a smirk/grin on my face.

"Well okay then, let's just uh, get our homework done." He says, blushing.

Newt's POV

It's been about an hour, and we finally finish our homework. We've talked about x and y for an hour. I yawn, "I'm tired." I say.

"Me too," Thomas yawns as well. He looks so adorable when he yawns.

I wonder if he feels the same about me. He doesn't act like it as much as I do. "Well, let's see. It's exactly 4:00 p.m. We have 3 hours to ourselves. Unless you want me to drive you home, now, I can."

"Nah, I'll stay here for a little longer." He says.

"Okay, well, wanna watch TV or something? It's not like there's anything else to do around here." I gestured toward the television sitting on my dresser, at the end of my bed.

"Sounds good to me."

I jump on my bed and scoot toward the wall on one side of it, and pat twice in the spot I want Tommy to sit. He slips his shoes off and sits on the other side of my bed. I turn on the TV, but I can feel him staring at me. I look over, and sure enough, he was. He tried to turn away in time but didn't. "What're you staring at there, Tommy?"

"Oh, shut up, Newt." He laughs.

"No," I pause, "I won't."

"Okay." He replies, as if he doesn't care. We lock eyes for a moment.

"You like me, don't you, Tommy?" I ask, feeling more comfortable than I should, also smirking a bit.

"Yeeaaaahhhhhh" He drags the word out awkwardly.

"That's great, ya' know why?" I ask, moving a little closer.

"Why?" He blushes and bites his lip.

"I think I like you a little bit, too." I whispered. And within moments, I crashed my lips into his.

[A/N] This was a long chapter, too. But I love it. I'll probably just go back and read this entire thing when I'm done with all the Chapters. I feel proud 😂
