Pain is a sign of strength as well as weakness. It’s something everyone feels, though in varying degrees. There are different kinds of pain, physical or emotional, a quick and sharp stab or a dull ache that beats in time with your heart. Every once in a while it can be good to feel pain, it serves as a reminder that you are alive. Being in pain everyday will slowly tear a person down, leaving them vulnerable and weak, the shell of a person that once was.
Pain shows weakness. A sharp stabbing pain can leave a person breathless. It’s jarring and intense but fleeting; the pain flares up and disappears just as quickly as it appeared. A slow dull ache will make a person curl in on themselves, wishing for the torture to end. It makes a person feel as though they are slowly falling apart.
