Josh's pov
I typed in Tyler number with shaking hands. Tyler picked up the phone straight away. "HI JOsh" Tyler practically shouts down the phone. He is trying to hide something, I can tell by his voice. "Tyler, what happened? I want to help" I explain "you need to tell me though". He sounded like he had been crying. I just want to help him. "Josh I'm fine. Stop fussing okay?!" He states quietly. I sigh. "No you're not Tyler. I can tell you're not okay". Right at this moment Tyler went silent. Someone was shouting at him?? I don't know. It sounded like they were asking about a red stain on a bath mat. I sat there listening to the man when he suddenly stopped. "Hey Josh I'm back. That was my dad. I'm sorry" he says quietly. "Tyler, what was the red stain on the bath mat" I ask uncertain of what to think. "O-oh uh I was doing a science project for class it got all over the bath mat" he states. "Tyler you're 18 and you're not in school anymore" I say back to him trying to stay calm "Tyler what was it? Please tell me". "Ugh Josh it was nothing just be quiet" he angrily says back as he puts the phone down. I feel tears roll down my face as I already know what the real truth is without Tyler even telling me. Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I'm the reason that he did this. I'm not gonna message him for a few days. Maybe that will make him stop.
