Chapter 9: I told you so!

-November,Sunday(1st week)-
"I told you so!"
Luanna starts jumping up and down singing the chorus of "I told you so" by Karmin. I throw a pillow at her and say,"Shush,it was only to make Emily jealous, ok? Yes I'm going with Loverboy to the Christmas dance. Big deal!" She ignores me and says,"We have to pick your dress out! And your hair style! I'm so excited!!" I sigh and then my phone starts to ring. It's Loverboy. Luanna says,"Ohh who's that? It's James isn't it." I lie,"No its just my grandma." She sighs and says,"Well he's gonna call you soon, I bet!" I say,"No, because every time you bet with me, it comes true." I walk out of the room and say,"Hello?"
"Hello Riley."
"What do you want Loverboy?"
"Well tomorrow we have to talk about some things."
"Why can't you just talk to me about it now?"
"Because it won't be as fun!Duhh"
"James, I don't have time for your stupidity."
"It's not stupid! I promise."
"Sure."
"Be at my house at 4 after school."
"Whatever..."
"Pleassse Rileyyyy."
I sigh. Remember Riley, after this he will never try to bother you anymore.
"Fine."
"Yaaaaayyyy."
"Goodbye Loverboy."
"Goodbye Riley."
I walk back into my room and say,"Well she's not coming for Christmas this year." Luanna looks at me and says,"I'm not stupid Riley, that was James." I sigh.Luanna knows me too well."Ok and so what if it was him? All he said was that I have to meet up with him tomorrow. That's all" Luanna smiles and says,"I wonder what your ship name would be. Jiley? Rames?" I say,"OH my gosh Luanna stop! Do you not realize that the whole reason why I'm doing this is because I want him to leave me alone? And that the only reason he is doing this is to get back with Emily? Me and him are not gonna happen!" She rolls her eyes and says,"Oh Riley, you're so clueless. I'll see you tomorrow." She grabs her stuff and walks past me. I hear the door shut and I flop down on my bed. I close my eyes and breathe slowly. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day.
-November,Monday(2nd week)-
I wake up and groan. I look at the clock. It's 8:30am. I slowly close my eyes but then I open them wide and realize, ITS 8:30AM! IM LATE!! I jump out of the bed and brush my teeth. I put on my makeup fast. No time to take a shower. I wish I picked out a outfit last night. I pick out some random clothes.

*Riley's outfit *
I grab my keys and my phone and run to school. I get to home room right before the bell rings. James says,"You look tired." I say,"Shush Loverboy." He hands me his Starbucks cup. I ask,"What's this?" He rolls his eyes and says,"Coffee duh." I breathe in and pray that this has sugar in it, I hate when it's black. Oh no, that sounded wrong.Ok, I hate it when its sugarless. I take a sip and it's not blac- I mean sugarless. I say,"Thank God." I drink more and hand it back to him. "No you can keep it." I raise my eyebrow. I ask,"Are you sure?" He nods his head and says,"Yeah I think you need it more than me." I lightly push him and say,"Watch it Loverboy." He smiles.
•After school •
Instead of walking home I walk to Loverboy's house. I knock on the door and then he opens it. He has a towel around his waist and no shirt on. I open my mouth to talk but then I shut it. I don't know what to say. He says,"Are you ok, Riley?" I nod and I walk past him and sit on the couch. He says," I'm gonna put some clothes on and then we can talk." I nod my head and say,"Please."
He turns around and says,"Is me not having clothes on make you uncomfortable?" I say,"No it's just that I prefer you with clothes on. Get over yourself Loverboy." Ok,maybe it does make me uncomfortable, but ONLY because he is flexing his obviously fit body.But I don't care! Why should I? "It does make you uncomfortable doesn't it?" James says smiling. I roll my eyes and say,"Nope, not one bit."
                     "Oh, really?"
                          "Yep."
              "So you wouldn't feel uncomfortable if I did this?"
       Then Loverboy did the most uncomfortable thing in this entire universe. He lays right on top of me! I groan and say,"Loverboy get off of me!" He laughs and says," Nope, not until you admit this is making you feel uncomfortable!"
  I try to push him off but he is too strong.
"I swear... Loverboy! Get off of me! James get off! Ugh ok fine! This is making me feel uncomfortable! Now get off!"
He smiles and gets off of me. "See, now was that that hard?" I say,"Yes it was." He laughs and starts to walk away but then he stops. He turns around and says,"Wait, did you just call me James?"  Oh crap.Ohhh crap. I did didn't I?
He is never gonna let this go. I have to deny it.
                                  "No."
                              "Yes, you did."
"Loverboy, how are you gonna tell me what I did or didn't say?"
  "How are you gonna tell me what I didn't or did hear?"
           " I didn't say James, Loverboy. I think you need a hearing aid."
           "You did say it! You said and I quote,'Get off of me! James get off!' "
  He imitates my voice and I roll eyes and say,"Loverboy just get dressed so we can 'talk'."
He starts to walk away, but before he does he says," You did say James, Riley. It's ok to say my actual name,you know."
