Chapter One: Chandler Thomas Chance

****First I'd like to say that this is a book about Chandler Chance's life. Second you may not understand a lot about this book if you haven't read my first book A New Beginning. You do not have to read that book though to completely understand this one. But if you did read A New Beginning and enjoyed it thank you. This book will be longer than A New Beginning******

Chandler Thomas Chance

It's my first day of middle school. 6th grade. I'm so nervous because my new school is huge. There's a little over a thousand kids going here. Surprisingly last year my math teacher talked to my parents and he put me in the accelerated math program or AMP. My mom said she's nervous to send me to Middle School already when she feels like yesterday I was just born.

I love my mom though. She's so happy all the time and she rarely argues with my dad. She packed my lunch everyday in elementary school. They were the best. Now I get to pack my own lunches! My dad bought me this really cool metal lunch box with cool designs all over it and the best part is that it comes with a thermos just like they use to!

So here's a little about my life:

I was born May 22nd, 2015. Which means I just had a birthday! I'm finally 11! Well, I guess I'm kind of young to be going to 6th grade but I skipped a grade, 2nd grade to be exact. They made me take this really easy test to go from 1st grade to 3rd. That's where I met my best friend.

Stella. She's my best friend in the entire world! This is how we met, I was sitting at my table doing some math problems my teacher gave me when she came and sat next to me. She asked what I was doing and I told her. She said her favorite subject was math too and we started talking about school. Then she asked if she could come over after school. That's when she met my mom and our moms met and she came to my house and we played all day in my back yard.

Ever since then we've been best friends. I have other best friends too. They're guys though. I only have one best "girl" friend and that's Stella.

My guy best friends sometimes make fun of me because Stella's my best friend though just cause she's a girl. But if Stella was their best friend they would understand. She's amazing! She likes a lot of the things I like. We both love math and we both love skating. It's our passion! She said that if her parents would let her she'd do it professionally. I'd let her because she's better than I am.

Oh! I also have 3 cousins. One that is almost 2 years older than me. Her name is Rose Clara but everyone calls her Rose. She's mean but really pretty. Then her little brother Edwin Benton but everyone calls him Ben. He's only 5 right now. He wears glasses because when he can't see very well up close. Then my Aunt Ann has a new baby named Talis. He was born in February! I got to go to the hospital with my dad and mom and hold him.

My dad tells me that I'm really special to my aunt because I'm his baby. I didn't understand at first but apparently they are really close which makes me more important to her I guess since I'm my dads only child.

On my dads side I have my grandma and grandpa! I call my grandma Mum and my grandpa Chandler because that's my name. He only lets me call him Chandler because I'm special! On my dads side of the family for some reason I'm just really special. I never asked why, but I just am.

On my moms side of the family I've only met my Aunt Maylynne and my Uncle Tom along with my cousins Rose and Edwin. Maylynne and Tom are younger than my mom and dad, but their kid is older than me. My mom said because they had a bastard child, but told me not to tell anyone she said that. So I don't. I've never met my moms parents because she doesn't get along with them because they aren't good people.

Anyways, that's a little about my life. Now in 2 weeks I get to go back to school and start 6th grade. I'm very nervous but excited at the same time! I found out Stella and I are in AMP together. I'm really excited about that. We have gym together too which is awesome. I like to race her; I always win.
