"I'll get it," Iwaizumi stepped a bit quicker than you and reach for the door handle to the restaurant and pulled it on it. The only thing was... "Huh?" He pulled once again, this time a little harder. "Is this thing stuck?"

"Iwaizumi-senpai," you said. "The writing on the door says to 'push'."

He stopped all the forceful tugging and zoomed in closer to see. "Oh..." His face flushed. "You're right." So that's what he did, stepping inside and holding it back for you to follow him. 'You idiot!' Is what he thought until he heard a little chuckle. 'She laughed.'

"Thank you. I didn't realize you were a gentleman."

"You're welcome," he said. 'That's right. Show her how much of a gentleman you can be!' He shook a determined fist. But in reality, if it wasn't for you finding it funny, surely he would've wallowed in embarrassment for the next minute or so.

After that day, Iwaizumi was quick the next after to go up and ask you once again out to lunch. He promised that he wouldn't smoke before it was time to meet up with you, and because of that, you had no choice but to accept.

Iwaizumi followed behind you to where a server booked you for and found an empty table for two. Before you even touched the back of your seat, Iwaizumi had his hand on it, pulling it back for you. The grateful smile you pulled for him made his heart flutter.

"You're welcome." Once he took that seat in front of you, he set his back against the chair and crossed his arms. Y'know, to look all cool like.

She handed your menus along with an explanation of what the special deals of the week included. She then left your table to give you two some time to think about what it was that you were going to order.

Iwaizumi watched as you picked up your menu. "Hey, uh--I'm sorry if I shocked or upset you yesterday. Y'know, with the whole smoking thing."

"Hm?" You peeked over it. "Oh, it's fine. You were considerate enough not to do it today, so all is fine."

He nodded, not taking his eyes off you. "I didn't want to miss out on another chance to talk to you one on one."

"I see..." you trailed off. "But are you still planning on smoking after this?" you asked. "I know my words won't hold much weight, being that we just met and all, but I still think you should be more kind to your body."

"Yeah...I-Uh...you're not the first one to tell me that."

"If you don't mind me saying so, you're putting your own health at risk. It's best that quit early. For one, secondhand smoking is definitely much worse than firsthand, but that doesn't make firsthand any better. You could catch a disease." You dropped your menu. "Or end up with a hole in your throat to help you talk." You clutched your hand around your throat.

Iwaizumi was at a loss for words. All of this information being thrown in his face with such a straight face.

Realizing that he had yet to say anything, your face paled over. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to sound like some rude know-it-all." You shield your face with the menu once again. "Forgive me."

"Hahaha."

The hearty laughter coming from across the table pegged you to peak over the top. "Eh?" There he was grinning. "What's funny?"

"No, no, I just wasn't expecting all of that. It's not something you need to apologize for, especially if you're trying to be helpful, right?."

You nodded once. "Yes." You tipped the menu forward to unshield your face.

'She's a kind girl.' he thought. "If you think it's best I stop, then I'll give it my all to do just that. We can even pink swear on it, if you'd want."
