The next time you rose from your bed, it was a smile on your face. All hours of sleep had been collected without interruption, and for that, you were more than thankful. But more than that, more excited than usual to see your upperclassmen. Last night, before he left your apartment, you suggested meeting up for breakfast before heading out to the class.
Because of it, you styled your hair in your favorite way and put on one of your favorite dresses. The solid-blue one with spaghetti straps and the flared skirt.
You cupped your slightly flushed cheeks at the thought. 'Feels like I'm getting ready for a date.' Despite either of you meeting up numerous times beforehand. "I need to get going." You hurried out of your room and snatched your key and bag up from the chair at your small dining table and set out.
On your way to the bus stop, you passed a little store full of different trinkets and knickknacks. Every now and then you'd take a detour from your errands or schedule to stop by and see what they had, and today you felt like doing just that.
"It should be fine," you said. "I'm not running late." Upon going on and looking around for a bit, your eyes locked onto a matching pair of keychains, hanging side by side on the wall. Two elephants, one pink and the other grey, with connecting trunks. "These are so cute. It's like they're kissing."
"We received them two days ago." You looked back at the store owner, who came up from beside you with a smile plastered on his face and hands clasped behind his back.
'Maybe I should get one for Senpai and myself. Would he like something like this?'
"They're little tokens to share mostly between lovers."
"Lovers?" your cheeks reddened. "Now that you mention it, once you put them together, their trunks connect," you chuckled nervously.
At that time Iwaizumi flashed through your mind. 'And now I'm thinking of Senpai?' You looked back to the keychains. 'Will he misunderstand my intentions if I decide to give him the other?'
"I'll be waiting at the register when you've made up your mind," he said.
At the same time, Ritsuka's words from inside the library came to mind as well. 'Hajime-senpai having a crush on me...?' Your entire face warmed in an instant. "Is that reason he takes care of me so well?' Even more than Oikawa. 'Maybe he'll like it after all.' There was only one way to find out for sure.
You plucked them off their hooks and brought them to the register. 'If he doesn't like, I'll just return it.'
"Hajime-senpai!" You called as soon you spotted him near the bus stop. "G' morning!"
As soon as he picked his head from his phone, his blushing cheeks matched that of yours. "Morning." He tucked his phone away in his pocket and faced you with a semi-confident smile.
"Were you waiting long?"
"Nah, I just got here a few minutes ago." His gaze wandered down from your face all the way to your shoes. "You ready to chow down?" he soothed his nape. "I'm starving."
You nodded. "Me, too."
"Then let's get going." He quickly turned his back on you and stepped quickly without you.
"Wait up!" You shrugged your bag further up your shoulder and scurried off behind him. "Senpai, do you like my outfit today?" you asked, trying to peak into his face.
He froze mid-step. "Huh?" he turned his head to you.
"My outfit," you tugged at the skirt of the dress. "Do you like it?" You peeked up at him. "Your face is so red. You don't have a fever, do you? Are you alright?"
