Expectations Vs Reality

Chapter 10- Holy Shit!

There's a knock on the door and I go to answer it only to see a bunch of men in uniforms "are you Olivia Parker?"

"Yes that's me, why?"

"We are gonna have to take you back to your father, so can you please come with us" An officer says and I stay

"No. Why?"

"Your father claimed that you were missing" the officer says and I chuckle

"Yeah right. I came here after he beat my boyfriend" I say and they grab me

"Hey, let go of me"

"M'am you have to come with us" He says and I try fighting back "MR MONTOYA! BETH! MASON! HELP!" I scream at the top of my lungs as I get pushed into the car and Mr Montoya runs out

"What's going on here?"

"We are taking this young lady back to her father. He said that she was missing"

"She wasn't missing, I took her in because she was afraid of her father" he shouts

"We are taking her back"

"NO! YOU CANT DO THIS! NOOO!" I scream as one of the officers drives off with me in the car
Mason's POV
We hear Liv screaming and we run downstairs only to see that the cops are shoving her in the car

"What's going on here?" Dad shouts

"We are taking this young lady back to her father. He said that she was missing"

"She wasn't missing, I took her in. because she was afraid of her father" Dad shouts and one of the officers drives off with Liv screaming in the car and I go after it but officers stop me

"No, you can't do this! LIV" I shout while trying to break out of the officers hold but their grip gets tighter

"Mason, she's gone. They took her back" Beth says like its no big deal

"You bitch! You act like its no big deal, do you know what the hell her father did to her and Shawn?! Do you know what that bastard did to her mother?! We need to get her back!" I shout

"Sir if you don't control your son, we are gonna have to take him down to the station" a cop says and dad nods

"Mason you listen to me and you listen now. I don't want Liv to get hurt either but if you don't stop, your gonna get hurt and that's gonna hurt her. Do you want that?" He whispers and I shake my head

"Then calm down" he says and I nod and run upstairs, grabbing my phone and call Shawn.

"Hello?"

"Shawn you gotta get down here now!"

"W-why what's going on?"

"It's Liv, they took her back to her father. You need to get over there now otherwise I don't know what's gonna happen to her" I say frantically and I can hear him running

"I am on my way now, don't worry Mason, I'll call you when I know something" He says while hanging up and I start pacing around the room.
Liv's POV
I just got back to the house and am greeted by my father who of course has that fake ass smile on his face

"Olivia! I'm so glad your okay" he says and I spit in his face

"You make me sick" I spat as I run upstairs and lock my door so he cannot get in. Someone knocks on my window and I see Shawn so I open it and he gives me a hug and I break down. Someone tries to open the door

"Olivia? Come on let me in!" Dad shouts while pounding on the door and I grab Shawn tighter.

"No, I will not let you hurt me again"

"Sweetheart I'm not gonna hurt you, I have news. I'm engaged" He says and I open my door

"What?!" I shout and a girl that looks about 25 with bed had comes over

"Babe, what's going on?" She mumbles and he smiles

"Olivia meet Ariana, Ari this is my daughter Olivia" he says with a smile and I frown but she smiles

"Hey, I'm -"

"I know, I heard him" I spat and she frowns

"I want you two to get along-"

"How can you do this?! It's too early for you to start dating! After what you did to me, mom and Shawn your gonna bring someone else into the picture?!" I shout and Dad looks normal, he's not even getting angry

"That was in the past Olivia"

"The past was two freakin weeks ago! You freakin hurt me and made me lie about it. You sent me and Shawn to jail! You killed mom!" God I just wanna punch that smile off his face

"Ari is aware of my past-"

"And yet you still go along with this?! Are you crazy?!" I shout at her

"Well, it took a bit of talking but we came to a deal. He will not hurt you or anybody else and we will be a family and I will bond with you" Jesus, she is way too perky for me

"Is she for real? The perfect family? Dad she's about 8 years older than me!" I shout and he laughs

"Okay Olivia whatever floats your boat. The wedding is in June, you can bring Shawn and anyone you like"

"Alright, that includes Mason, Beth and Mr Montoya" I say and he smiles and nods and I close the door in their faces and lock it again just in case

"I'm sorry Liv" Shawn says while giving me a hug and I take out my phone and dial Mason

"What are you doing?" He asks

"Calling Mason" I say while putting the phone on speaker

"Liv oh thank god! Are you okay?"

"Surprisingly yes, apparently my father is getting married in June to a 25 year old bubbly woman named Zaria or Ariana or some shit like that. You guys are invited too"

"You seem awfully happy about this"

"That's because he will not hurt me as long as he's with her. All I have to do is keep them together"

"Are you still gonna rebel?" I chuckle

"Is that even a question? I wanna see what's gonna make him tick and I am not buying this Barbie girlfriend of his-" I am interrupted by dad coming in

"Oh, Olivia. I forgot to tell you that tomorrow night we are going to meet Ariana's daughter. She is in your grade, maybe you know her. Her name is Ashley" He says and I drop the phone

Did he just say Ashley? As in Ashley Harris?!
