It was a rainy Tuesday evening. Kai was studying when his TV automatically turned on. "Huh?!" Kai exclaimed, running to the TV. It showed someone who looked a lot like that Akane girl. "Well...I'm not that famous when it comes to singing." The girl was saying modestly. The interviewer chuckled then turned to the camera. "That's all for Ms. Shiota Akane's interview. Thanks for watching." Then the TV turned off.

NEXT DAY

It was sunny today. Kai noticed Akane was absent. As he was walking the halls, he heard two girls gossiping. "Hey did you hear?" One of the girls said. "Hear what?" The said, her eyes shining. "I heard that Shiota Akane disappeared right after she was interviewed!" The first girl said excitedly. "I heard she was kidnapped because she was famous!" The second girl said. Kai walked away, only to bump into Kou. "Oh, sorry Kou!" He said and helped his friend up. "Hey Kai? Have you seen Akane-senpai anywhere?"

Kai looked confused, but shook his head. "Wait. 'Akane-senpai'?" Kai said, giving Kou a weird look. Kou blushed, but explained it to Kai. "D'you wanna hang out at Junes? Maybe Akane will be there." Kai offered. "Um...sure!" Kou said, smiling.

AFTER SCHOOL

Kou and Kai hung out at the TV store again. "What is it with that weird TV?" Kou said, annoyed. Kai shrugged. "Let's check it out." Kou nodded at this and followed Kai to the TV. Kou poked the TV screen, only to be sucked in. "Kou!" Kai yelled, jumping into the TV as well.

AT THE STRANGE TV PLACE

Kai sat up, rubbing his head. Kou was lying down, a bear-creature thing trying to help him up. "Hey! Get up!!" The bear thing said to Kou, putting him on his feet. The bear didn't notice Kai until he coughed. "Oh hello! Are you looking for something?" Kai and Kou both nodded. "Well, you probably want to check out that weird place over there then!" The bear pointed at a replica of the restaurant Akane's parents run.

Kai gave Kou a look and he nodded. They both headed there, the bear following behind. "Be careful not to anger the Shadows!" The bear warned. Kai noticed the entrance to the shop was some kind of black and red swirl thing. Kai was about to enter when two goo-like figures with masks popped out. They both turned into black and white striped creatures.

The creatures attacked Kou, who was helpless. "Kou!" Kai said, but then stopped in mid-run. He felt a splitting headache and his eyes widened. You will encounter a mystery, but you will also gain powers like no other... Kai remembered Igor's words. "Per...so....na!" Kai yelled slowly, the words coming automatically. A strange, knight-like creature appeared before him. It zapped the two creatures out of existence.

"That was awesome, Kai!!" Kou yelled excitedly. "Wow...." The bear said, amazed at Kai's power. "Let's go find Akane-chan!" Kai yelled, running into the restaurant, Kou and the bear following close.

I'm so sick of this! All the time I have to watch that stupid kid Kou! A voice that sounded like Akane's echoed through the building. Kou looked shocked. "Huh?" The blue-haired boy said, stepping back. Kai continued running, until a Shadow ambushed him. Kai used his Persona, who he learned was Izanagi, to defeat the Shadow and continued on. As they neared the main office, they heard Akane's voice again. Okay, he can be pretty nice....but he always hangs around me!! It's pissing me off! Can't he do things alone?!

Kou was taken aback. "What...?" Kai gave him a sympathetic look, but they continued on.

A FEW MOMENTS LATER...

Kou, Kai and the bear named Teddie ran to the final floor, only to see Akane kneeling on the floor and another Akane who was more evil-looking and had some dark aura around her. "Oh, and speak of the devil!" The other Akane spat out, pointing to Kou. Kou looked taken aback. "S-stop it..." The real Akane pleaded.

"Be careful! That's her Shadow self!" Teddie warned. "Oh, shut up! You knew he liked you, but you didn't like him that way! You were forever complaining about him! 'Oh, Kou is so damn annoying!' 'Kou is like an annoying little puppy!' Ha!" Shadow Akane said spitefully. "No...that's not true..." Akane said, a bit more angrily.

"I'm just afraid of being alone! That's why I act like a fucking badass! It's because I'm a wimp. Haha!" Shadow Akane said, a mischievous look in her eyes. "You shut up! Akane isn't like that!" Kou yelled, afraid of what she would do to him. Shadow Akane laughed. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me! You are so fucking gullible! Ain't he Akane?" Akane stood up weakly.

"No...that's not true...you're not me!!" Akane yelled. Shadow Akane laughed hysterically. Shadow Akane turned into an eagle and sucked up Akane. "Come and get me!!" Shadow Akane yelled and swooped at Kou and Kai.
