"Must your bag be so heavy?" Tristan asked with a grunt, throwing Tori's bag into the Trunk.

"Hey! Watch it!" She scolded rushing down to her Jeep.

"Again....Why must it be so heavy?" Tristan asked sarcastically.

"Why must I go with?" Tori retorted with just as much sarcasm.

"Touché." Tristan smiled down at his cousin.

Tori didn't return his smile though, infact she hasn't been returning much of any emotion since Tristan told her about their "camping' trip down at the lake this weekend. It was the occasional head nod or "okay cool" so it surprised Tristan when she Actually formed a whole sentence.

He purposefully left telling her for last minute because he knew she would have refused if he told her earlier.

After he told her last night that there would be a camping Trip this weekend she immidiately shut off. She didn't really fight it fully aware of the fact that she had to face it sooner or later.

Tristan knew she was trying but she was as transparent as cellophane. She blatantly ignored all topics involving the camping trip and packed her bags with minimal interest.

"Look Tor..." Tristan began apologetically.

"It's okay. " she cut him off with a small smile.

Tristan had explained that Aunt Kelly wanted to go and that meant if she went, Tori had to go too. It was an unspoken rule in the family. It was like voting, the highest number wins and right now it was 2 against 1.

"I'll see you later Tris." She said after placing her pillow as well as her toiletry bag into her trunk. Tori walked around to the drivers seat and got in while Aunt Kelly took place in the passenger seat.

Tori prepared herself mentally for the longest,
most frustrating drive of her life.

Three hours, 4 different playlists, 2 packets of Chilli dorito's and a cramping butt later, Tori had arrived at the lake house. Aunt Kelly was out cold most of the ride but she wasn't complaining.

Tori studied the old double story cabin infront of her with fear...
Fear of the memories...
Fear of untamed Emotions...
And the Fear of absence...

She felt aunt Kelly study her with caution from the corner of her eye so Tori turned her head to her aunt with a frown. Aunt Kelly sent a wavering smile her way, unsure of how to approach the situation.

"Thanks Aunt K." Tori let out reassuringly. There was no need to fight with her aunt about this, there was no pity in her eyes but instead they held concern and she couldnt shun someone who was only showing that they cared about her feelings.

Tori shook her head and climbed out from the drivers side. The cool wind crept up on her surprisingly making her slightly shiver.

"I forgot how cold it could get up here." She said out loud and opened her trunk.

"Wait until the sun sets." Aunt Kelly said with a broad smile. Aunt Kelly was probably the only person in the family who enjoyed the cold weather and she took every chance she could to come up to the lake house. Night times and Early mornings it was Freezing cold but during the course of the day it could be rather warm out.
