Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time, it was grand and beautiful

With a color so unique, crayons couldn't

Find a suitable name

A brown roof plainer than day

But loved by happy people

It was a home.

Now, it's rotting and deserted

Alone, stuck in solitary confinement

Never to be lived in again

It was a home.

Memories had been created

And yet

It was no longer known.

Uncared for and long forgotten

It had been a home

Now it was nothing.

A roof caved in, chipped paint, overgrown grass, unkept windows

It had been beautiful and worth millions.

Now?

It's just a once upon a time.
