Choking
On the mountain of homework
Unable to breathe
For lack of spare thinking time
Coughing
Up the words shoved down my throat
Sputtering
And repeating verbatim educational crap
Hardly breathing
Anything more than the work given
Finally a chance to breathe
A spare moment
Of freedom and a cleansing breath
Before we're jerked back to the
Beginning
And repeat.
Choking, unable to breathe, coughing
Sputtering, hardly breathing
