The Last Hope

As soon both of them went out from the arrivals gate, Mark spotted his sister, waving him.

"Tammy!" He hugged her.
"Oh my Pooh, I miss you" she said.

Mijoo giggling when she heard his sister called him Pooh.

"Don't laugh!" Mark warned her.
"I'm not"
"So, this is must be my sister in-law. Hi, I'm Tammy"
"Hi, Mijoo" she smiled and hugged her.

"Where are my favourite nieces?" Mark asked.
"They're at school"

Three of them went to the parking lot and went to Tammy's car. The journey from the LAX to their house was quiet far so Mijoo take a nap at the back seat, while Mark sit beside her sister. They talk a bit while Tammy drove the car.

As Tammy's car was parked at the garage, Tammy went inside the house while helping Mark with their luggage. Luckily, there are only three luggage for both of them. Mark put all the luggage in his room before went to car back, to wake up Mijoo.

"Mijoo. Ireona (Wake up)" he slowly shake her body.
"Hmm? We're here?"
"Yes. Come in. You can sleep inside"

Mark pulled the sleepy Mijoo while she still not in her right mind. Yes, being in the plane for almost 16 hours making her not in the right mind.

"Come. Let's go meet Mama"

Mijoo just nodded while following Mark's pace. Her eyes still blinking for sometimes due to the hot sun in LA.

"Mama?" Mark called her mom in the kitchen.

Her mom is busy cooking for both of them. She turned around and smiling. She walked to them and hugged Mark.

"I miss you" he said.
"I miss you too, Mark"

Mijoo looked at him, hugging his mama. Today, she know Mark's other side. Even though he looked like a jerk, stupid playboy at the outside, but inside, he really gentle and still need his mama's hug.

"Mijoo. You're here, finally"
"Yes, Mama. I'm here" she smiled while hugged Mama.
"Where is Papa?" Mark asked.
"He still at the office"

When both of them talking, Mijoo felt slightly dizzy in her head, and her legs feel numb. Mama who turned around, realized her condition.

"Mark, I think your wife need to rest right now"

He nodded. He brought her to his room and sit her down at the bed. She massaged her temple due the dizzy.

"Are you okay?" he asked.
"No. I'm dizzy and my leg felt numb. I think jet-lagged killed me" she whined.
"You go to sleep first. I'll wake you up before dinner, okay?"

Mijoo just nodded and plopped herself on the bed.

/time skips

"Mijoo-ya, it's almost dinner"

Mijoo brushed off her eyes ad saw Mark beside her.

"What time is it?"
"Almost 7. Go wash up yourself. We have dinner after this"

Mijoo nodded and Mark went out from their room. Mijoo took her clothes and bring to the bedroom. She take a long warm shower to energize herself. After shower, she put on her clothes and went out from the bathroom. Mark was on the bed, played with his phone when she came out.

"You're done?" she nodded.
"Let's go. They already waited for us"

Mark pulled his hand out, gesturing for Mijoo to take his hand. Mijoo gladly hold his hand went to the dining together. All of Mark's family already waited for them. Both of them sit side by side with Mark facing his mother and Mijoo facing Tammy.
