The Last Hope

Impossible

It was late evening and Mijoo was waiting for her assistent to come and send her the kit.

"Mrs. Lee, this is the kit you asking for" she handed Mijoo two kit.
"Thank you, Yura"
"I'll go first, Mrs. Lee"

As Yura left her house, she hurriedly went to the toilet and do the test. As she waited the first one, she do it again with the other kit.

She closed her eyes as she was afraid with the result that maybe can change her whole world.

She counted until three and looked at both kit that were placed at the sink.

"No, this is not happening!"

Positive. She is pregnant.

Mark

As Mijoo left him, he was lifeless for a while. Not until his father in-law came to meet him.

"She need her time. Please, give her time"

His words kept repeating in his mind, so that's why he stopped looking for her or even asked Jisoo about her.

Mark also changed his company. He went back to China as he asked his cousin, Junhui, to take care the company in Korea.

Minghao and Jackson also worked with him but they are in different branches. But, all of them in China. Their hometown.

Both of them also already aware with Mark who already lost his wife. They actually already forgot the bet that they made first, but Jackson felt terrible the most. If he doesn't asked Mark to go to the club with him that night, probably, both of them are still together.

"I'm sorry, Mark. It's my fault"
"No. It's mine. I shouldn't drink that night"

Jackson now thinking a way how to find Mijoo and bring her back to Mark.

Mijoo

Her hands are shaking. She suddenly scremed loudly in the toilet. Luckily, she lived alone.

"Why now? Why not during when I was with him" she cried.

She went out from the toilet and look for her phone. She pressed Jisoo's number. After three rings, the calls connected.

"Jisoo-yaa" she sniffled.
"Mijoo, are you crying? Why? What happened?"
"Are you busy right now?"
"I'm with Jinyoung"

Mijoo hang up the call when Jisoo said she with Jinyoung. Not after a while, Jisoo called her. She picked up the call.

"Friends first. Remember?"

It was video call. Mijoo see that Jinyoung was behind Jisoo.

"Jinyoung, I'm sorry for disturbing both of you"
"I'm okay. You have problem of course you need her"

Mijoo smiled.

"Your eyes are red, same goes to your nose and your face bloated. Tell me why"
"Actually, this morning, at the office, I got nauseas. I vomitted, a lot"
"Why? Are you sick?"

Mijoo shakes her head.

"What happened?"
"I went home and I just realised that, I haven't period for almost two months"
"Don't said that you.."
"I asked my assistant to bought the kit and it was..."
"What's the result? Mijoo, tell me"
"Positive"

Jisoo's jaw dropped. Same goes to Jinyoung who just listening to both of them.

"Why now? Why not before I left him?" Mijoo tears fall again.
"Mijoo-ya"
