"I can't decide if I'll let you save my life or if I'll drown" - Arms by Christina Perri

To say, I was surprised to see Parker standing in front of me in first period, was an understatement.
I was pretty sure, he either
a) had forgotten I existed
b) hated me so much he couldn't even stand being near me
c) or... well, this had seemed to be a three-reason thing, but turns out it's not.
"That's my seat."
I sighed, flaring my nostrils.
He was the fifth person to tell me this today. Was it such a hard concept to grasp, that the teacher had told me to fucking sit down here?!
"Well, Ms. Heathrow directed me here," I said, ready to practically burst into flames.
He glared at me, jaw set, and jerked his head to the right, as if saying 'scram'.
"She always does that. Doesn't mean it's law."
"Well, teachers usually like to think their word is law. They sure as hell act like it is."
"Well, not in my world."
"Fuck off, Parker."
"Move, Shey."
"I don't see your name engraved and your word certainly isn't law," I muttered and went back to reading my book.
Great, now I can search for the sentence I was last at. Thanks a lot, jackass.
"You're a dick, Parker," I finally said, when his glaring had gotten a little bit too uncomfortable (plus I still hadn't found that sentence).
Then I inwardly cringed and cursed myself for letting that comment slip out.
I am so not helping my case... Then again, pissing Parker off is so worth it.
"What is wrong with you? Can you not hear? Do you not have a brain or something?"
Then he had the guts to add (in a singsongy voice too!), "Wouldn't be surprised, if you didn't."
Does this guy have a death wish? Does he really need to piss me off? On a Monday nonetheless!
"That's the best you can do? It's a seat. Get over it."
He clenched his jaw, closed his eyes--maybe he was doing those anger management exercises, like counting to ten or-
"This isn't worth it," he muttered, shaking his head, blonde hair flying everywhere, and pinching the bridge of his nose.
