My day started off like normal.I woke up around noon, turned on my TV, and watched anime. This went on for the better part of the afternoon until my annoying, step sister came in, disrupted my show, and immediately complained about my lifestyle.
"Go away, shoo! Shoo!" I waved her off with a flick of my wrist. "It's anime time."
"Oh my God, you're still watching those cartoons?"
"Hmph. Anime is life."
"What is wrong with you? That is so not something to be proud of."
I sighed loudly, then paused HunterxHunter.
Alison flicked her brown hair dramatically. "You should focus more on trying to get real friends and network, instead of sitting in your dark room and watching those stupid shows you soon to be NEET."
Stupid? I know she did not just insult anime.... my eyes narrowed further into evil, menacing slits.
"Let me break it down to you like this Alison." My finger shot up as I spat out some knowledge for her. "First of all, I have better grades than you, yeah, let that sink in; 'A' honorable bitch. Second, if you ever, and I mean ever, insult anime again then I will slaughter you, you amazon heathen. And finally, you're wasting my time, I don't need you or anybody, so stop bothering me."
Alison glared at me. "I'm not afraid of you and theres no way your grades are higher than mine."
"Bet."
"Whatever, you're still a social reject, Choca."
"I don't need friends. Plus, your friends are stuck up, arrogant, and fake."
Alison huffed."No they're not, you haven't even met them yet."
I laughed, "I don't need to. But, anyways, please exit my room and close the door behind you." I twisted back around and faced the flat screen TV, then clicked the X on the PlayStation remote control.
HunterxHunter began from the credits but all too soon the screen went black; followed by Alison stepping in front of the TV, arms crossed, coffee brown eyes narrowed. I was still too busy trying to comprehend that this giraffe just turned off my anime to get any words out.
"The fu-!" I finally burst. "Are you crazy? Are you asking to die, huh?"
Alison rolled her eyes. "Listen, dad told me to be nice with you so that's what I'm doing."
I stood up fast, throwing an accusatory finger at the black screen. "This is your idea of nice, asshole?!"
"Ugh, would you stop cursing?" Alison rolled her eyes again.
I was tempted to curse some more. "Don't tell me what to do and also, I don't care about what your dad says. He's not mine. Our parents may have gotten married and we're some 'big happy family' according to everyone but stop counting me in."
"Choca!" yelled Alison, "I'm not leaving until you get dressed. You're coming with me to this party damn it!"
I stared at her, then busted out laughing.
"I'm not playing!" Said Alison, angrily.
"Buh bye!" I continued laughing. "Party? You tried Alison, you tried."
I'm not going to a stupid party.
That's what I said anyway but somehow that poisonous step sister of mine managed to get me to this so called 'party'. Honestly, it was such a drag. I wanted to watch anime or play RPG games not sociallize with a bunch of drunk teens with jacked up hormones. Still, that day I never expected things to play out the way it did. If I hadn't gone, if I'd fought Alison a little harder I wouldn't have met them. If I hadn't met anyone of them that summer night then maybe I wouldn't have... well, I wouldn't be feeling this or that and I wouldn't have done that. Oh, no, especially not that.
Seriously, who would have thought my life would become such a shoujo.

Alison gave me the one up.
We stood on a dirt road lot of a nice, two-story lake house that had a winding balcony. Alison pursed her lips, her eyes squinted.
Annoyed, I glared at her. "What?"
Alison sighed, "I guess this is the best I can do for you."
"Bitch." I grumbled. I only had sweats and hoodies (most had anime logos or Japanese characters on it) in my closet much to her horror. So she brought me to her closet but Alison's model thin so naturally my fat ass couldn't fit into it. I wasn't fat-fat but the lack of exercise and snacks made me a little round in the thighs.
Anyways, her clothes didn't fit me and we didn't have the time or the money to get me something new. So, I wore mid-thigh shorts, a white tank that had a big emblem of Fairy Tail on the center, and a maroon colored jacket that was zipped up to breast to cover said emblem. My afro had been tamed into pretty curls that reached my collarbone but that was about all that I let her alter. Alison actually had the audacity to try and put makeup on me. The nerve of the girl.
"You have a pretty skin tone but you don't take care of it." She said as she picked at my cheeks. "God, you could actually be pretty if you wore makeup. I mean, your nose is a little wide and your teeth are a little crooked-"
"Okay, enough." I swatted her hand away.
"But, you have pretty eyes. So was your dad white or something? If only you had contacts instead of these hideous glasses. I mean, why is it so thick? It's making your eyes bug out."
"Damn!" I snapped, slapping her hand away again. "My dad's black and FYI Alison, since you don't know, black people can have blue eyes too. The only thing that makes our eyes brown is because of the melanin. Please tell me right now if you want me to drop some knowledge on you."
"No thanks, I'm not interested and stop talking so ghetto." She said, her eyes already surveying the lake house. The sun was low over the lake. "Your glasses are too thick, get contacts."
"Che!" I curled my lips, "I have a heavy prescription, that's why."
"If you wouldn't sit and watch TV all day then maybe your eyes wouldn't be so bad."
"Shut. Up."
"I mean, you could actually look like me if you tried."
I gave her a seething glare. "I don't want to look like you."
Alison is (admittedly) pretty. She looked like she came right off of a magazine. She was skinny, tall, and had long glossy brunette hair. She wore white jean shorts that revealed her tan legs, a blue spaghetti strap, and a tan cardigan. If only she had a decent personality. If only.
Suddenly, Alison said. "Alright, let's go."
My heart thumped powerfully. I looked at the lake house and all the teens in slutty clothes and guys with their leather-man jackets pouring in. The word that I would describe this as:
Anxiety. Severe anxiety at that.
I wanted to go home. Bad. I didn't belong here, I was an otaku for god's sake. I wanted to go back to my comfortable room with all my anime posters, action figures, my manga library, RPG games, anime DVD's.... I wanted to go back. I couldn't go in there.
Alison stopped and turned around. "Would you come on!"
I shook my head once.
"Come on!"
Suddenly I was transported into an anime, where Alison's eyes slanted into red evil glare holes and the background around her blackened. I gulped. Scary. "I'm coming." I wheezed out.
